I am disgusted with the help I received. I opened my bill to pay and find out My plan came in at over 2000. I called and asked if they could help me switch it and they pretty much told me that I had to pay the 2000 dollars for the month of January. I told them I did not have the funds and would have to cancel and not have insurance. I asked to speak with a manager and she told me the same thing. either cancel or pay the 2000 a month. I told them I would need to cancel and not have insurance. They said you will still have to pay the 2000 dollars for the month for January even though I have not been to the DR. and then I could not get insurance until next November. So I cancelled not knowing that these people could have offered me a lower plan with anthem. They told me they could not!!! They told me to call Anthem and Anthem told me that they would be able to switch the plan to a lower cost plan. I also had asked anthem and they told me that access health could switch my plan to a different plan and still have health care insurance. I feel frustrated and let down by a company that is suppose to be there to help. Hopefully I can reach someone there to help tomorrow. I pray I will be able to write a 5 star review this week.

Ashley, today's rep, was lovely. It's completely not her fault that she is saddled with a diabolically complicated, hot mess of a computer-based system that is incapable of recognizing that if a parent who was covering his children loses coverage, that the children also lost coverage, and thus have a qualifying event. A concept that I'm pretty sure a monkey could be trained to recognize. I believe I'm on at least my sixth call providing the same info each time (yep- STILL born in the USA just like yesterday, still not in the process of adopting a new child since yesterday, still married, still not pregnant, still living in the same place as yesterday, still filing my taxes the same as yesterday, etc). Each time I've been prepared to provide the new info requested, and then each time, was asked for completely different info than what I was told I needed. This is also not counting the time when I was in the process of working with a rep, 4 PM came, and the system hung up on me in the middle of the call because, unbeknownst to me, that's how we apparently are supposed to handle in-process calls at the end of a work day.

ACCESS Health has the most ineffective phone customer care system and their website is completely useless. There is no direct phone numbers listed and no fax numbers either. We live in the 21 century and they want you to submit documentation to their Manchester, CT location with the Po Box address. So basically you cannot look them up online to ask questions if you have any and you have to mail the documentation in. No e-mail was provided or fax number to make this process easier. They recommend you to submit the paperwork using their website but when you are actually on it, no direction is provided. Their FAQ section tells you to scan the documents and submit it to them....Really, it would take a genius to figure that out??? ......Where??? Where is the link or other instructions as to where to go exactly to do so?!? Ahh yes....I forgot...nowhere to be found. As I said completely useless. Thanks Access Health for nothing and providing user friendly tools to make subscriber's life easier...NOT

Literally the most painful customer service experience of my life. I spent a good year, on the phone for hours with these people receiving contradictory and most times downright incorrect ( I dare say "made up") instruction on how to file and what documents were required. I was repeatedly told I was "all set" just to receive a cancellation notice in the mail. This happened at least 7 times. I was deliberately lead on and misinformed at one point so they could buy time reset their system, the representatives knowing that a blanket mailer cancelling a good portion of their "clients" was on it's way. Instead of telling me, they danced around the topic, and refused to answer direct questions when I was trying to pay them. In the 10+ accumulated hours I spent trying not to bite my face off, I talked to a colorful and mentally diverse cavalcade of inept representatives that ranged from downright unqualified to speak on the phone to young annoyed millennials that just wanted me to go away and just said "yes, do that, you should be all set". Now, I have other insurance and want to cancel them altogether. Well, their abysmal website is making that impossible as the password reset system is as inclined to waste my time as the bored and woefully incompetent staff. There were to be fair, one or two representatives that actually helped and were as aghast at the info I was given and helped fix it, only to have the system screw it up again. I can only hope those individuals were able to move on to an institution that is more deserving of their efforts.

I'm so frustrated I can't see straight. If I could give negative stars, I would. I was one of those unfortunate people who didn't enroll until the beginning of December because Anthem's rates were going up so much it would have been more than our mortgage payment. My husband switched to CT Care but because of an error on ACCESS HEALTH'S PART, it wasn't keyed in to start until Feb. 1st. However, these geniuses tried to back peddle, saying that 'we didn't get to update YOUR file until Jan. 20th' but we STILL have to make a Jan. payment, even though they didn't tell us that until today. THE LAST DAY OF JANUARY! I'm so sick to my stomach over this & it just goes to show that there are NO decent companies out there anymore. THEY made the mistake, WE pay the price. And for what? Bargain basement insurance plans. Fantastic! I can't WAIT to sever ties with this company!
