I went in today (11-5-16 5:00 pm) to do a simple return with receipt. The guy at the register (let's call him "angry middle-aged white guy", which is how he came across) gave me some kind of song and dance about not doing it. It kind of caught me off guard, and in an attempt to keep my temper, I left with product in hand. You can shop here if you want, but truthfully the prices are 15-20 percent higher than at the chain stores or at Sutherlands. This is a last resort for me, and I really don't need to worry with "angry middle-aged white guy"...for any reason, really.

Ace really is the helpful hardware place, and is a comfortable environment to go shopping in and ask questions. If you want advice on something Ace is way better than the big box home improvement stores. They may be smaller than those stores but they have most everything you need, and there is almost always someone to help you as soon as you walk in, but they don't harp if you don't need their help. A great neighborhood place to get what you need for your home easily and priced well.

This store is closed, has been for several months now. There's no ACE Hdwe in Amarillo any longer, unless one has been opened recently. The ACE in Canyon isn't a company store, it won't have any corporate sales items.

This hardware store is in my neighborhood, and it always seems to be a pleasure to shop there! I get personalized attention and good information from the staff.
