Story

Advanced Imaging of Port Charlotte opened in 2005 with the objective of providing the residents of Port Charlotte and the surrounding area with the highest quality of medical imaging possible. Since that time, Advanced Imaging has continued to grow and evolve with the newest medical technology available. Advanced Imaging is the only area facility that offers the DaTscan, a specific test to diagnose Parkinson's disease, the Amyvid exam which is s test to diagnose Alzheimer's disease and MRI guided Prostate biopsies. Our goal is to bring the highest quality imaging to the area while retaining our small town approach and valuing each and every patient. At Advanced Imaging, we intend to keep the care in healthcare.

AWFUL! I will make sure my doctor refers me somewhere else! I have had so many poor experiences and today was another one. I will never come back here. I was asked to come at 9 AM for a 920 bone density appointment. I was early. I stood in line. I was handed my paperwork and I was asked to sit in the appropriate area. Two women came after me. Both were taken before me. I finally inquired and they took me back, gave me a dressing room and said they would be right with me. This was at 9:45 AM. I overheard a technician tell their patient they were all done, and then heard her on a personal telephone call for the next 10 to 12 minutes. I opened my door, she saw me, she closed the panel on the radiation room and continued to talk to her personal Conversation. I came out of my room and searched for someone that could help me. This was at 10 o'clock. The same lady that said someone would be with me came and got me and did my test. It took 13 minutes. It is now 1020 and I am in my car – one hour after my appointment. Why have an appointment?

Very bad experience. Front desk lady just by herself and very rude. Worse place to go. I'll definitely chance.

They send past due notices without sending you a Bill. When you call they make excuses, and still don't send itemized statements, then want you to pay without showing you what your insurance paid them. I have called twice to get an itemized statement. Really sad when you say you will take care of the bill when you get an itemized statement from them, and they still don't send one.

Always have a long wait here but today was awful. I arrived promptly for my appointment, was awestruck when I was taken through almost immediately but then there I sat in an inner waiting room, after 40 min I nicely asked why I was waiting and the nurse said that the room was being prepped for me. Another 35mins went by and I was still waiting. I left and will not return. I will use another facility. They appear to overbook and I do not feel like a client rather that they are doing me a favor.

MRI tech was rude. My daughter has disabilities and she made the comment "well we see who is in charge here" all because she was trying to advocate for herself. While this woman is yelling at her. Mean while I am trying to explain she needs a minute to process. If the tech would have calmed down it would have been a whole difference experience. I will never ever go back again. Patience and understanding can go a long way in the medical field. You will not find either here.
