We are a local owner operated auto repair center serving the Reno / Sparks area. We take pride in keeping your vehicle on the road and avoiding major repairs. We specialize in hard to diagnose electrical problems, computer re-flashing / repair, preventative maintenance and factory recommended services to help avoid expensive emergency repairs. We work with all years, makes and models. I brought for diesel pickup there when the Ford service center said they didn’t work on that engine (different review on that) and recommend these guys.
They found my electric harness for my injection system shorted out taking out the injectors . He replaced the injectors with after market units and the wiring harness with after market units. He said he never had a problem with them.
1 1/2 yrs and 5,000 miles later I call them to see if they would warrant the work (6mos past warranty) never returned my call.
Brought my truck to a good shop and they found that the part that they used where junk. Will cost me 1,100 to replace only the electric harness . Hope the injectors last 😡🤬

Everyone at Affordable Auto is kind, honest, hardworking and all around awesome. They treat their customers well and do amazing work to fix your vehicle, without trying to trick you into paying extra or getting repairs you don't really need like auto shops often do. This place is amazing. I HIGHLY recommend it. I trust affordable auto with my life.

I rarely do reviews but after being helped by Rich at Affordable Auto I am compelled to post. Everyone there is friendly, honest, and dependable and got my girlfriend and I back on the road in no time. Can't thank them enough and if anyone needs car help,  save your time searching and go here to get the best service possible. I wish I lived closer because it's really hard to find such an honest mechanic. Thanks Rich

These guys are awesome, they are very busy and I know why, they take care of their customers with honesty, integrity, and customer service.
I purchase a car next door to Affordable and some things needed to get fixed on the car. At first I had a battle with the Dealership next door but Affordable stepped up to the plate and took care of my car. I know affordable care about their work and does a great job but I think the most important thing they strive for is they want  awesome reviews from customers like me. I will always bring my car in to get fix if something goes wrong because I can count on them 100%

When you find a group of mechanics you can trust...HOLD ON TO THEM FOR DEAR LIFE! That's what I found from this business. They are stuck with me forever as a customer if my car breaks down in Reno! Richard and his crew take care of their customers as if they are family...even if you just walked through the door for the first time. Your safety on the road is something that I learned they take very seriously. They offered me the old part when they had to replace something to show what had transpired to cause the engine issue to emerge. It is a blessing to know such people and to hand my keys over to individuals that I trust will not exploit me as a woman for my limited knowledge in mechanical issues. If my 'check engine' light comes on (since the car I drive is older) they don't charge anything to diagnose the issue because I'm a return-customer. Parking is sometimes limited where their work is performed but I've never had an issue getting out of there quickly as they are usually available to take the vehicle off my hands. Their 'set-up' keeps prices reasonable and I don't mind a little inconvenience if it benefits the checking account in the long run. The mechanics have extensive experience and know how to diagnose and find answers quickly. They will not fill your ears with B.S. to kill time or milk the clock. We need to support this type of business philosophy so others are encouraged (feel the heat) to provide the same! Thank you Richard!
