The staff here at Affordable Animal Health Care were so kind and gentle with me when I had to put my 19 year old dachshund down.  My heart was so broken and everyone was just wonderful.  They took fantastic care of my boy in his last months and I am exceedingly grateful for their expertise and consideration.  This is the place you want to take care of your pet...exactly because they CARE about your pet.  Thank you Affordable Care Animal Hospital.

I took my dog here for a check up because she wasn’t feeling well. So we take her in and the doctor does the routine check up and can’t find what’s wrong and suggests x-rays and a blood test so we agree because we are concerned for her health and the results aren’t alarming to the doctor and just sends us home with antibiotics and pain relievers. Instead of my dog getting better she gets worse the next day and couldn’t even get up so we take her back and another doctor diagnosis her with kidney failure and gives her vaccines that will make her “better” and says our dog has to be hospitalized if the treatment doesn’t work. And the vaccines didn’t work and she ended up being so sick she passed away.

They offer a free check up for first time patients, so don't hesitate to take your pet in if you think something may be wrong!  The staff are all very knowledgeable and don't keep you waiting any longer than necessary.  They even have dog treats in the waiting room in case your dog is nervous.  Of course, when I have a sick pet and come here, I tend to be the most nervous one in the room! 
    This has been my go to spot for years, very reliable (walk-ins welcome and nobody will charge you for unnecessary things) and not as expensive as most animal hospitals!

I have been here 4 times now. Always the best prices and friendly staff.  They have saved me hundreds of dollars during the past year.  Today I called around for de-worming prices for vets closer to my home in the Bixby Knolls area.  I am back here at Affordable Care after I was quoted unreasonable prices of over $150.00!!! I can’t say enough positive things about this place.

NOPE! NOPE! NOPE!!

Don't do it. The only thing "affordable" is the first office visit, after that, prepare to go broke! Besides cost, I have issues with this place.
1. Parking is terrible - least of the problems
2. Front office is nothing but chaos. There are a few staff member who are calm and collected, while others are rude, loud and could care less about one's privacy. No, it's not cool to yell across the lobby to gather information or to discuss a quote for services - seriously?!
3. The doctor gives out worst possible news before testing to confirm diagnosis. His demeanor spiked anxiety in us only to find out the next day it wasn't nearly as serious.
4. Everything on the quote was a rush job, when it wasn't an emergency. Cost was out of control!

I asked for my pets records and went to Long Beach Animal Hospital on Anaheim. They were wonderful and caring. The atmosphere is calm and soothing and the doctor and staff cared about my pet. We had to move forward with a surgery, which cost me over $1,000.00 LESS than what was quoted by Affordable!

We will not be going back to Affordable - there's bad juju going on!
