If you want to wait 3-4 hours while your pets wait in a cold room and you can’t get any staff to pay attention to you to speak to, this is your place. Brought my cat in for urination problems and I was concerned there was a block. Upon checking for a block and saying he had none, they said they’ll put him in a back room while I wait. It’s now been 3 hours since I arrived, and I’ve missed the time to give him his medication. I should have stayed home or gone to a different vet. Understaffed, not very communicative, and from what I can tell probably overpriced as well. If my experience changes whenever I actually get to meet with the vet, then I’ll change my review. Until then, my cats waiting for me probably more stressed than if I just stayed home with him. Don’t come here unless you ABSOLUTELY have to. If your animal can survive 20-30 mins more, go somewhere else.

I found this vet to be very quick,to respond with care for my pup, professional and kind. Kind being the key word as I was so very upset. My little girl was fine when I left with every promise to be able to return 24/7 if necessary. All went great and I would most definitely recommend both the vet here and there great staff.

Been here twice the first time I felt like they did a great job they got my dog in quick and seemed very professional. So I went back again hoping to get the same service this time my dog went in for a more serious issue she would screach in pain hadn't had a bowel movement in two days due to her intense pain. It seemed as if she was going to pass she was very inactive and depressed. The doctor here recommended X-rays 400$ I agreed very incompetent she did not find one single problem with my dog and suggested I left her over night and in the morning get more X-rays which would have been another 400$ I said no my bill was going to run up to 1350 after everything she recommended was done and yet she would have still not had a clue what was wrong with my dog that night I spend close to 700$ and my dog came home the same no medication prescribed no answer on to what was wrong with my dog ... very costly for nothing..

Understanding, honest, and caring are the attributes I have been all I've ever been shown at Long Beach Animal Emergency for same dog and 2 separate events. They helped her through both and back home. Thank you for what you do.

This place should be your last resort. If your pet can last 20-30 minutes to make it to any other emergency hospital, go someplace else. We brought our senior dog in with gut problems. We got back a dog that couldn't stand or walk because the vet completely ignored us when we told him that our dog was extremely sensitive to pain medications and benzodiazapines. We provided information about current doses he was able to tolerate and apparently that didn't matter either. Also, this is the only emergency clinic I or my pet insurance company had encountered that required 100 percent of the HIGH ESTIMATE before they would begin treatment. What they did to my dog robbed my dog of mobility in the last months of his life.
