Story

Ahoskie, the largest community in Hertford County, is located in the northeastern part of North Carolina on the Pleasure Route, US Highway 13, and is 24 miles south of the Virginia line. The elevation is 60 feet above sea level while coverina an area of 4.5 square miles or 2786 acres.

As a rural community that relies heavily upon its faith based and family oriented communities, as well as its heritage, Ahoskie embraces the diversity of all its citizens. Through the development of quality services, the Town of Ahoskie will work diligently to pursue service delivery that will be cost effective and efficient - Town Friendly - while maintaining the requirements of all local Ordinances, State and Federal Laws.
