This place is awesome. I go there every year for my birthday relaxation retreat. 2 hours of relaxation but in NYC is priceless and hard to come by. The place is super clean and the staff is very helpful. -- I don't have any pictures to post because they are so strict on their cell policy but thats a good thing.. it gets your mind away from the outside world.

My experience here was just okay. The locker rooms felt cramped and the room with the baths was a bit too dim for my taste. The steam room wasn’t hot enough. The Jet pool was eh. The staff were not rude exactly, but didn’t make me feel comfortable either. My massage was supposed to be an hour but only lasted 45 minutes. It wasn’t that great either. I really wanted to love this place but I left feeling like I didn’t get what I paid for.

Really enjoyed my experience here - the different pools are great and I really enjoyed the steam room. The massages at the beginning are not memorable but the baths definitely make up for it. It’s never crowded so you get your piece of mind and break from the NY crowds.

Day of Marriage Proposal Booked Aire months ahead on Christmas Day. 45' Massage + Baths. Check in: It's located off the Franklin Subway stop. Easy to get to. When you come in there is a waiting room with couches, hot mint tea, cold water and receptionists who greet and answered all of my many questions. Locker Room: You walk into the locker room and are greeted by an attendant. They will help you with how to lock and unlock your locker and answer questions about the showers. There is combs/ hair-gel /cologne in self-service hygiene stations. The showers are equipped with body gel, shampoo and conditioner. After you shower you exit to a small waiting area. Ancient Baths: You will be greeted up entering a platform on a set of stairs that lead down to the baths or up to the massage and service rooms. You sense automatically that this place is extremely romantic and relaxing. There are actual candles everywhere and how they lit them in some locations still has me scratching my head. I asked the Experience Coordinator for a walk-through. He was happy to oblige. This place was otherworldly and without even starting my journey I was put at ease. Each bath has a significant temperature and purpose. There is a salt bath that allows buoyancy for floating and an option to exfoliate your skin with raw salt before bathing. There is a eucalyptus steam room that has different seating levels for temperature desirability. The other pools vary in pressure and temperature. Prior to each hour a bell tolls to let you keep pace with the time. Massage: If you book a massage they will give you a bracelet to wear upon checkin. You enjoy an hour of bathing and they come and get you when it's time for the massage. You are led up the stairs to the next level into a dim room. I opted for deep tissue massage and was vocal about my areas of tension prior to my therapist. *Note: Always tell your therapist exactly what you want to get out of the massage: tension level, tense areas, areas to avoid and limited range of motion for injuries. They will always see to make it your experience. The deep tissue was absolutely perfect. They worked out kinks I thought were permanent knots. Magic. Finishing Up: After the massage you are left to enjoy the baths again until the next bell tolls. We had about 25 minutes to let our loose and relaxed selves indulge more in the waters. Then you go to locker room and shower, change and are back in the busy streets of Manhattan. Conclusion: This was such a romantic and beautiful experience. I would return to NYC just to relive that experience.

Came here the day after 14 hours of flying and it did not disappoint. Spend the first hour enjoying the thermal baths (50° - 102°) then get a massage for the second half of your visit. Your body will thank you. I especially liked the salt bath where you can kick your feet up, lay back, and just just float effortlessly. The architecture and design are stunning. The staff was friendly and helpful. I went on a Sunday and it was definitely a little crowded, but not uncomfortably. I can’t think of any reason not to rate a 5/5. It was expensive, but that was expected and I feel that the value of the experience was worth it. From walking in the door to walking out was about 2.5 hours.
