The shrimp po boy was really good. I definitely enjoyed it. The calamari was decent but not worth the price. It should quite frankly, be cut in half. Or at least 2/3 the price. The fish and chips were your basic fish and chips. The fries and old bay on them or something. They weren’t the best. This next thing isn’t specific to albina but this was the first time we saw the CHP fee on anything ever and so it was confusing. Especially cuz it also had the option to tip on top of that. We ended up paying $57 including the fees. Would not order the calamari or fish and chips again.
Great conceptif you’ve never been to a food hall & variety. I was curious why the clam chowder was only $10 and then I tasted it…
Disappointing experience. Ordered through the QR code and took more than 1h to get fish and chips and fish tacos. The food was ok with the exception of the fries, they were totally undone and soggy. Overall not worth the price, they now include 22% fee when you order, plus they want you to tip BEFORE you get served and try the food which is annoying.
The employees were great, but employees do not make a restaurant. The fried calamari was, literally, the worst I have ever had. The calamari batter was pure bland flour, the sauce was a basic red sauce which tasted like it had been frozen, thawed, frozen again, and microwaved, and calamari was not coated properly as the fry fell apart. The fries, while had a pre-made seasoning that sort of helped, were soggy and undercooked as well.
I'm always on the hunt for a decent po'boy in Denver, and was thrilled to see shrimp and clam options on the menu here. Unfortunately, the result is simply average, and overpriced. Bread was a heavily buttered loaf with six deep fried medium sized shrimp. The shrimp were admittedly outstanding. Remoulade flavor was lost in all that bread and butter. Fries were not good and significantly under seasoned. Po'boy, fries, and club soda came to $24. Pretty pricey for average-at-best food. Will not return to this vendor, but looking forward to trying other concepts here.
Wow, wow and WOW. I'm from the UK, home of fish&chips and I have to bow my hat to the guys at Albina by the Sea. Best fish and chips I've ever eaten. Soft tasty fish in perfect batter and chips I could only dream of back home. Alex was super friendly too.
Absolutely delicious shrimp and clam po boys! Super fast and polite service too. I was very impressed and will definitely be back!
Upon learning of my wife's birthday they comped mussels and crab cakes both of which were FABULOUS. So kind and considerate.
