The library is conveniently located downtown in Scranton,Pa. and has excellent hours of operation. I agree with the one reviewer that said it needs newer reading material but the library is loaded with 21st century cyber technology and like the books they are willing to share it. Plenty of staff to help and through internet access the staff will do your leg work for you. About the rating: To get 5 stars from me you have to be as good as the ancient library at Alexandria, Egypt. This library is definitely a big OK.

Growing up in Scranton and being educated at the local public schools, I remember using the Albright Library for all my reading needs. Whether it was reading for pleasure or writing a term paper using the periodical room or researching family history with census materials on microfilm, the Albright was always there as a constant resource. They have an adult library, a children's library, several neighborhood libraries, and a bookmobile that travels around. This truly of all the resources Scranton has to offer is the one that has had perhaps the most impact on people's lives in general. I have photocopied at the library when home photocopiers were unavailable, filled out little slips of paper and given them to the friendly librarians in the reference room for them to retrieve the magazines I was researching, and now using the many internet machines they have. I cannot say enough about the Albright Library. It has always been there for me over the years of educating myself and then getting accustomed to the internet age. Keep up the great work; the librarians are awesome as well! Also, special thanks to the interlibrary loan department which was instrumental in getting me access to hard to find resources. Thank you!
