The Cadillac of T stations. A joyous celebration of local transit. Restrooms lovingly cared for. Delectable cuisine. The finest of musical acts. A truly wonderful experience.

The parking garage has been falling apart for years. There are potholes on multiple levels. I’ve seen large pieces of cement that have fallen from the ceiling above. There have been temporary metal structural beams for multiple years that have been used to support the ceiling and as a result you can’t park in those areas (100 plus spaces). At night it sometimes takes over 30 minutes to get out of the garage because of traffic outside the garage or a broken ticket machine. The escalators are in a constant state of disrepair. I’m not quite sure what they do with the $7 they collect every day from thousands of parking guests. I’m guessing it must go towards the overly burdened pension system of the MBTA or the parking management company (LAZ) is mismanaging the garage. I just can’t believe that we have a garage that’s supposed to support parking for thousands of people in an area that has plenty of means and the garage is literally collapsing on itself.

The parking garage is falling apart. It has temporary struts taking up many of the parking spaces. Water leaks throughout the structure when it rains. There are not enough staff to properly man the gates and customer service desk. The garage is not run by the MBTA, and has on occasion double withdrawn funds from my card to pay for parking. They hire out local police which use scanners to find tickets to put on cars... they will put moving vehicle violations on parked cars... the customer service will only give you numbers to phone lines that don't get answered to try to get assistance... don't bother... talking to the officer does not help either, he will direct you to contest it in court... This garage is too small for the traffic of the day. Try to get your parking spot early, as the facility will sell you a ticket to a full garage... you have 20 minutes to find a space before having to exit, even if there isn't a space available... The commuter traffic leaving from this garage can take up to a HALF HOUR to exit during prime time. Pedestrian crosswalks do not have lights, and a steady stream of walkers block the intersection out. All the garage exits face the sidewalk and same street, so this exit traffic is unavoidable. Moving into the station itself, it does have a dunkin' donuts, and a quick stand. Sometimes there are security and gate tenders... they are not visible or available at all times. TLDR: Leased garage with poor customer service and a terrible exit pattern that will leave you stuck inside for up to a half hour. Police presence to apply tickets and tow any vehicles the scanners tell them. They are not available if you need assistance. Garage is in disrepair, and fills up to capacity rather early.

Terrible, frustrating place to drive in and out of Alewife. Any (work) day is sick and congested. Chaotic to get to the station. Parking usually full around 9ish. Poor pedestrian and traffic management - no pedestrians signal; people keep walking and cars pileup waiting to get their turn. I often had 30+ mins time to get out of parking. I take redline only on fridays. Mon- Thursday take it if I have no other choice.
