This is one of those somewhere in the middle places. Definitely better than the 'fast food' pizza chains but, there's also better. They have a lot of options other than pizza - which is nice. Their pastas are pretty good and my fiance loves their Philly Cheese Steak sub and would go here alone for their cannoli. They deliver and you can order through the good 'ol telephone - no extra app necessarily needed. They are on the pricier side, but again, it's worth it for something better than 'fast food' pizza.
We really wanted to like this pizza, but it just didn't impress. They were one of a few places open on Thanksgiving day for delivery, so with few options, our expectations were low. The cheese reminded me of the American sliced variety from a convenience store. The pepperoni was passable and black olives just along for the ride. The worst, absolutely unforgivable crime, however, was the dough. It clearly didn't get enough time to prove, because it tasted like all its ingredients, rather than the magic of bread, as a pizza crust should. Every bite brought back taste bud memories of raw flour, Play-Doh, and cardboard. I think with some active yeast and patience, this pie might have a chance. Until then, don't expect miracles. It's really a shame, because so much can be made with just a few simple items and a skilled cook.
Great place on University. Great pizza. Good pasta dishes. Walking distance for me to get a quick take out order. Friendly staff. Small outdoor space. Nice indoor space.Food: 5/5
Walked in on Sunday at 1am with a group of friends. 7 of us shared a spaghetti, chicken Alfredo, lasagna and xl bbq chicken pizza! $13/person including tip. Everything was great! Food came out hot and great tasting. The gal at the front was friendly, and attentive despite the late night rush. I normally go to Mexican for my late night munchies, but this place is def a choice now.
First time here even though I live very close by. The $6.99 2 slices/soda and $8.99 2 slices/any beer they have, including draft beers! specials are great deals. Food is good, service is friendly, and there is some outdoor seating for people watching. The interior of the restaurant is functional, though a bit austere.Dine in: YesOutdoor seating: YesTakeout: Yes
i always look foward to coming here when in town, but tonight was very disappointing. 11/5/22 around 10:45-11pm the parmesan cheese packets are so old & orange! nasty. ruined my food. who's parmesan was that? god's? it's literally that old. got a fountain drink and the guy literally filled it up 3/4. soda tasted off.
This was a pleasant surprise when I was in the neighborhood. The crust was the right thickness and had a little bit of crispiness to it. And the sauce and cheese was quite good. Probably one of my better meals during this last trip. It's not quite NY style but pretty close.
The pizza was great, one of the better pizzas in all of San Diego. The people there were extremely friendly, very nice. It's not the place for a romantic evening, or even afternoon, but it was clean and there was plenty of room. The parking is okay, especially later on in the day. Highly recommended!Food: 5/5
Okay so… you may have to be inebriated to enjoy the chicken Alfredo because that’s what I attempted to eat…. However, it was not possible due to the lack of ingredients in this dish. The sauce was a bit thick and too much of something, so it overall didn’t keep my mouths attention. The jalapeño poppers were surprisingly the only good thing to eat. The free side of bread tasted like a free side of bread…. The crew were nice but the food needs work, I hope the pizza is better but I’m a bit hesitant to try now…
Yo. This place slaps. Like. I was so so happy with my choice. I got the chicken fettuccine Alfredo and it was perfect. Lots of chicken, great texture and weight to the sauce. Definitely big enough though where two people could share in my opinion. It comes with one piece of garlic bread but it’s huge. My friend got the calzone and it looked super great too.
