My boyfriend and I have been passing by this restaurant for a while and have been wanting to give it a try. So glad we finally did. Mattarello has a vintage vibe and modern Italian flavors. We really enjoyed the staff- one of the owners greeted me by name! That was a really nice touch. The location is very clean. The food was phenomenal, flavorful, and fresh. Overall, it was such an enjoyable experience. They offer cooking classes and I would love to see what that was all about.
Great experience making pasta. Francesco was a great host we had an excellent time. **Be aware the Airbnb price is much higher than the price you pay if you book directly from the restaurants website!!**
This place is just so cute and wonderful. The cooking class is such a fun experience and the people who own the place are so nice. We went for date night and had an amazing experience. We will definitely be going back!!
The class was amazing and the instructor taught at a rate matching the group. Just in our group we made spaghetti, linguine, bowtie, rigatoni, and tortellini. Would highly recommend it for a date!
I planned a surprise pasta making class for my wifes birthday at this place. We had about 14 people for the class and everything went great! From communicating with one of the owners Francesco to the moment we sat down to eat our own made pasta, everything was delightful! I first communicated with Francesco through Instagram about my plan and he was up for it. He even suggested where our guests would hide while me and my wife come in to surprise her. The class was fun and interactive, we learned alot about how to make pasta from scratch. We might have been a little bit chaotic because all of our friends was laughing and and not listening I apologize to Francesco for that but we really had a great time learning and getting our hands dirty. They also provide you with appetizers to eat while your dough sets, and dessert afterwards. Our server, I forgot his name, was very courteous and polite. He served all of us like family.Everyone took care of us great! We felt at home In Mattarello! Thank you Francesco and everyone working that night!! You guys made my wife very happy with her surprise class :
My husband and I were signed up for the night pasta class as part of our honeymoon that was planned by Pack Up + Go. At first we were nervous & didn't know what to expect, but Zach, our server, was very welcoming and attentive. Jess was the instructor of our small group & she was super friendly, chill, laid back & knowledgeable. We ended up having so much fun that we're planning to take what we learned back home to teach our kids! The food was delicious & the dessert was *chef's kiss*! It's too bad we're just traveling otherwise we'd love to come back. If Jess or Zach are reading this, thank you for a great night!
The homemade focaccia was wonderful! Clean, strong smelling perfume bathroom. The service was friendly, but very inexperienced and needed training. For example, two of us got spaghetti and each of us had to ask for Parmesan cheese, it wasn't offered either time the food was brought out, one of the four person's order was forgotten, there was a struggle to figure out the bill, and although we were in the special event room for a birthday and the birthday girl was wearing a Birthday sash there was no special effort or dessert for her birthday. We were stuffed at the end, the salad with pears and cheese was great! On a weird note, the cutlery was oddly thin and small for the large plates and large portions.
I did the pasta making class with my family group of 5 we had a fantastic time, the instructor was great and the food was delicious. Highly recommend for groups or just as a date night.
Amazing experience! My fiancee and I did the cooking class, Frances was an excellent guide. The ingredients were all fresh, most of the herbs and tomatoes are grown on site. The food was amazing, and we learned how to make ravioli!
The cooking class was so much fun! Our teacher, Jess, is an incredible person and made the class extremely enjoyable! Also the food at the end was delicious. Best pesto I’ve had so I couldn’t leave without buying a jar.
