When I went in Alpha Formal Wear the sales person allowed me to look through the catalog for a dress. He told me that the store had the dress I chose in my size and color, he said I had to pay for the dress before I can get it.. Okay no problem, so I paid for the dress and then the sales person called me the next day to tell me that the store does not have my color or size available. Then he had his “corporate office” text me over three dresses that he assumed I’ll like.. I told him these dress will not work for me and I will be coming back to the store for my refund. He told me I will not get a refund I can get a store credit… Never did he say anything about if the store doesn't have my size or color I cannot get my money back. Nor did he ever point that out on the receipt. I would have never paid for the dress if he stated that.... that sounds like trickery to get consumers money. So I text the “corporate” office to let them know how Alpha Formal Wear in Beltway Plaza Mall in Greenbelt Maryland-were handling business, to only receive a called from the so called “SALESPERSON” telling me that the “corporate office does not talk or deal with customer" ,now I found that very strange business practice... As I am telling the Sales person (could be owner of the store) that he told me they had the dress I wanted in my size and color and it was never mention about no refund he started talking over me and then the sales person just rudely hangs up on me. Now that’s RUDE and bad customer services... If this is the way Alpha Formal Wear in Beltway Plaza Mall handles business I believe every consumer should know about it. Like I said this is some tricky business they have going on at that store and it should be investigated.. I am planning on reaching out to every social media I can think of to expose the type of business practice this store provides to its consumers.

I have been to many black tie events and rented several tuxes, and this was by far the worst fitting tuxedo that I have ever worn. The sleeve lengths on the wing collar shirt were much to short, and then the tuxedo jacket was much too long in the sleeves. The customer service is also terrible. There is only one lady there when you walk into the store, and when you ask for anything, she has to run to the other side of the mall to get the owner (Im assuming) to do anything. and this whole process takes about 5-10 minutes while you are just sitting there doing nothing. Overall, I would never go back here ever again. There are several other formal wear shops around this area, and I am sure that they are much better than this one.

Alpha Formal Wear is over charging for their rentals. They are using the same order books as Mode Custom Tailors at the other end of the mall. Now here is the problem? Once you sign the contact, it is blinding, no refund, no exchange, no cancellation so shop around before you sign. Alpha Formal Wear in Beltway Plaza is charging an average of $70.00 more with prom discount on same Tuxedo (same Tuxedo from same catalog). Oh, if you need accessories the prices are 100% mark up.
