Just about the only bank left which doesn't ream small depositors. Also the only bank I know of that isn't actively buying lawmakers for laws to team depositors even more. No minimum balance penalties. Union owned and worthy of support. If you use any other bank you are actively furthering the economic and political power of the oligarchs

Fast, friendly, Union-owned. AB does not support climate change deniers or weapons production! Some debit card options generate donations to charitable causes.

The best in fee-free banking. No fee cash withdrawal at any Allpoint cash machine nationwide. Affordable safe deposit boxes. Pleasant courteous service. I have been banking with them for over 40 years.

Amalgamated Bank is the worst for canceling your credit card with no warning.  They have stopped my credit card several times in a year and have stated they do so whenever a vendors records have been compromised.  It is painful when you are on vacation and your credit card is stopped.  I have even called ahead to notify them of going on vacation and they stop the card anyway due to "suspicious activity" exactly where I told them I was going to vacation.  I am canceling this card and will try another company.
