Mission

Amazing Grace Oasis believes that self determination and choice is an integral part of the individual services we offer. Whenever possible, each individual will be given choices and expression of preferences in all activities, training and personal purchases. We also believe each individual should be taught, to the best of his/her ability, those functional self-management skills that will allow the highest level of independent functioning possible in the individual. To that end, the services we provide will emphasize self help skills, self management of behavior and acquisition of leisure skills that will enable the individual to participate more fully in the home and community environment. Amazing Grace Oasis is established to promote health, to prevent illness, to restore health, to provide a safe, secure and healthy environment for those placed in our care and to provide opportunities for those individuals to reach their maximum life potential.
Inherent in our continued success is the respect for life, individual dignity and the rights of every individual. It is unrestricted by considerations of nationality, race, creed, color, age, sex, politics or social status. We render our services to the individual, the family and the community.
Our primary duty is to those individuals that require our services. We shall in providing care, promote an environment in which the values, customs and spiritual beliefs of the individual are respected.
We should hold in confidence personal information and use good judgment in sharing this information. We shall carry personal responsibility for our practices and for maintaining competence through continual learning. We shall maintain a cooperative relationship with all our coworkers and respect their rights as we pledged to others. We shall, take appropriate action to put safeguards in place for the individual. We shall prepare ourselves for the challenges that are ever present in the care of those we serve. We shall recognize that the care, consideration, respect and dignity we wish for ourselves is to be the measure of how we conduct ourselves each day in the service and care we provide for those placed in our home.
