This theater has the worst sound system of anywhere I have ever been, most of the screens have tears or rips, & seats/lobby are a time warp back to 1985. AMC needs to badly update this theater! It is a shame that if I anticipate a movie I want to "experience", I have to drive 1.5-2 hours away to get a real movie going experience, when there is a theater in my back yard. I would love to spend my money always at Harlan AMC, but I will miss 10% of the movie dialog! It is a shame when your audio & video in your house is better than the local movie theater. Cleanliness is below average, concessions are higher than a large city, but the staff is very nice & attentive. AMC invest in Harlan and watch revenues improve!

This is a place where one must really think about how much they want to see a movie. How much do you really want to see a movie at this theater? Are you willing to endure the dismal environment? Are you willing to risk sitting in a seat where the AC will drip into your popcorn? Are you prepared to sit through the technical difficulties? These are the things you must think about before coming to this theater. Forget all about the magic of cinema or the enchantment of the movie theater experience. Leave all expectations in the parking lot or don't form any expectations at all. The lower the expectations the better. The only joy anyone will walk away from this establishment with is the satisfaction of watching a movie and having some mediocre popcorn. I sincerely hope that with the help of AMC this building will go through major improvements and will allow others to actually have the opportunity to experience a movie theater to its full potential.

Good place to go with the family but extremely expensive for food and drinks but a good price on the movie

Decent place to go, considering it's the only place to go here in Harlan.

AMC needs to update the facility. New screens would help too. Otherwise great people and ticket prices.
