I love everything about it and would much rather see a movie here than anywhere else. I love old movie theaters and hope it stays around a long while still.

This is now a second run theater. The prices are generally about $2 per ticket (adults). So, if you, like me, don't mind waiting a few months to see a new movie, the price is really good. Also, they are keeping the theater clean, and the staff is very friendly and polite. I'm now willing to go see movies at the theater more often. I've increased my rating compared to last year (see below). == (Previous review, from early 2016) Usually, the theater is fine. However, recently, when we went to the new Star Wars movie, the sound was no good on one of the audio channels, so you could hardly hear long stretches of the dialog. To their credit, when I complained about it (during, and after the movie) they gave us a free pass to any Carmike Cinema movie for each of our tickets. (Actually, we cannot use the passes to see Star Wars for the next couple of weeks, I guess until it is no longer popular.) But they didn't make a blanket offer of free passes to the entire audience--only to me and my family, because we complained about it. I'm also wondering how long it took them to fix the problem...

At $2. a movie who wouldn't want to attend a movie here. We have been twice now and we love that it's not over crowded!

The bathroom was disgusting, it looked like no one had lifted the seat part and cleaned under it in months, I ordered a drink, and after a few drinks it started tasting weird, when I went to the bathroom I had to spit something out and it looked like globs of old soda from them not cleaning the pop nozzles or like a old soda sitting there for awhile. I don't think I will ever go back to this place, I'm disgusted, and it was the second time I've been here. The first time I ordered a drink and pop corn and I ended up throwing up on the way home, the pop corn was cold and it was not worth the prices.

I attended an evening showing of Hacksaw Ridge on 11/16/16. The experience was fine except for the employee that was working the register. He looked like he was around 40 years old, had hair like Elvis, and had a personality that made the soup nazi seem charming. I misunderstood what he said at the register and he quickly responded with a rude comment. I would be mad, but I know that anyone who is 40 years old, has hair like a balding Elvis, and lives with their mother has a reason to be in a bad mood. Avoid him, and you should have a good time.
