Love the remodel and the new seating process. Its great not having to show up an hour before your movie just to get the two good seats in the auditorium. I also really like that I can buy my tickets in advance at the theater. I've always hated having to pay the service fee to get them online and doing at the theater let's me avoid that. Definitely keeping up with the big megaplex theaters in Kansas City. The staff is better than most KC theaters though and it seems like the actually care about your business.

Would you look at this, the new reclining seats are the only ones I've seen in the Lawrence area I believe that it was a great idea and I know more people come to this specific theater for this, although the sound system could be updated a tad bit other than that it is great! I do like to see a small security presence in this theater as it keeps a peace of mind in the back of my head. Also, the party room could maybe get an upgrade into something different? Maybe a small food vendor or even add a dining to this theater

I used to hate coming to this theatre. Recently went back on a whim, and the redesign of this theatre left me thoroughly impressed. I love the new reclining seats, and ample leg room. They don't offer (as near as I could tell) the rumble-style speaker-in-your-seat like some of the theaters in KC, but totally worth it if you don't feel like making the trek out east. This is a VAST improvement over what it used to be. If you haven't been since the remodel, definitely go check it out.

Since they have upgraded to reclining chairs it has bumped up a notch in my opinion. I'd like the popcorn stands to be a quicker affair, they can be really inefficient. Adding mobile tickets has been nice. Adding a diner, a bar, or a daycare option would be great. Overall I'd say it's just better than average though I'm great full for such a good theater in such a small town. A IMAX would be cool too, but I know we are to small a town for it.

As a long time patron of this theater I'm happy to report I nearly always enjoy my experience. The things that do bother me usually have to do with other audience members talking etc. The staff are consistently friendly and professional. A couple times the projector operator has flubbed it up. At National Treasure the sound was off for the first few minutes and during The Force Awakens the whole movie was slightly out of focus at first (this was so slightly that I think I may have been one of the few people who noticed it, but later on it was fine). As to the recent renovations: I give a standing ovation. I think every theater everywhere should have reserved seating. I despise people who show up late and crawl over you to a seat claimed for them by their jacket via another friend. Speaking of crawling over...it should never happen again at SW12; since remodeling the leg room is the best of any theater I've been in! Being able to recline and watch a movie while comparing shoes with your fellow movie watchers who also have their feet propped up just gives the whole experience an added luxurious feel. Cons: -Some rooms have a lot of prime seating (the middle) taken up by the entrance.
