My husband and I have been with Matt Darnell  for many years now.  We have always received excellent service and he notifies us of other necessary insurance that may be needed throughout our lives and through changes in our lives.  I recommend Matthew Darnell if you want a great Agent!

We have been with Matt Darnell & American Family for years however, we received terrible service from them.  

Our home in North Olmsted flooded in Aug 2005, along with hundreds of other homes in the area.  My wife was 9 months pregnant (with a 5 year old at home) & I was in the Middle East unable to come home.  Matt Darnell sent a rude adjuster to the house who said "I have hundreds of homes in this area that WON'T be covered."  They refused to help with ANYthing stating it was the Cities of North Olmsted & Westlake’s fault the sewers were overwhelmed.  So, our full furnished basement was a complete loss.  Kind installers from Waxmans' carpet agreed to help my wife drag out wet carpet & install new.

A few weeks ago (Aug. 2007) the same flooding happened again.  Not as bad this time because the power didn't go out and the sump continued to work.  However, clear rain water got into our home again.  This time the insurance adjuster REFUSED to even come & look at our home.  We think it may have come in from a basement window, but we wouldn't know because an adjuster won't come take a look.  Even after our agent said we were covered.  Again, no help! 

Finally after years of paying premiums and NO CLAIMS paid out, we get a letter stating they are dropping us!?!  We never saw our agent, while other agents personally came by to check on their clients.  Matt Darnell & American family does NOT care about their clients.  Criminal what dishonest insurance companies do to people!
