Switching car ins. Was effortlessly, but when I spoke prior to them coming out to inspect house? I mentioned that w/ last ins. Co. I claimed hail damage to out roof that had 17 yrs of life left, why? My car had 3,400 dollars hail damage, to neighbors had roof damage so I thought maybe I had some to. Ins. Co. I was attempting to leave had inspector that was rude, unprofessional, stated no hail damage, I asked for 2nd opinion. Amica home inspector that came out was specifically told to inspect roof. This inspector took pictures of roof from the ground with his phone. Amica stated we are a conservative ins. Co. Because there is conflicting reports, me thinking there might be hail damage, their inspector taking pics from the ground with phone, they are not willing to issue insurance on home. The supervisor I spoke to in an attempt to talk sense into, very rude, aggressive, raised her voice talking over me thru out phone call. Don't waste your time or believe the BS they say how great they are in commercials

Worst insurance company ever. Very rude . Completely unhelpful. Dont waste your time.

I had this insurance company for more than a year. I got the run around from them after them saying they are cancelling my policy do to a *suspension* I (Had) Even though my licsense is very much active and i sent over mulitple forms of proof it is active. Then they tried to tell me they can not pull my dmv records which is why ( I) had to send proof. Even with doing so they still Opted to cancel my policy when my Licsense was not under a suspension like they kept saying. Two weeks of run around and this is their conclusion! Poor customer service and team of people!

Just switched from Progressive to Amica with one call to Kim @ ext 47542 (Amica, Holyoke MA office).  She was courteous, knowledgeable, & made everything easy!  I now have better coverage than thru Progressive for a slighly lower premium!

I have Amica insurance for my home and cars and may drop it because they are dropping advertisements on Bill O'Reilly's news show on FOX TV.
