I would give 0 stars if possible, if you are in the psych ward, it is absolutely terrible. Psych wards may be better than how they used to be, but not by much. Incompetent "psychiatrists" (if you can call them that) as well. Reasons: I was laughed at by hospital staff when they did the body mark checks upon check in. I was there in the summer, they pretty much didn't have the air conditioning on and definitely not at night, would fight over giving a cold pack to cool down so I was sleep deprived. Staff treats you like the scum of the Earth and doesn't listen to you, help you, or do their jobs Tell you one thing then completely revoke it the next moment. Saw the "psychiatrist" for 5 minutes for my entire duration, I kept saying that the medication I was on was not working (made me mentally unstable) and he just prescribed me to take a higher dose of it.

Do not go here if you can help it. I had to deal with this place a few times for emergency with my family. Front desk, and customer service over the phone are rude. They give you short yes or no answers with no help. Half the time when one person tells me something someone else tells me the opposite. The wait is long, a few times I been here emergency rooms are uncles. Also have seen dried blood on a blanket that they put on me. When I did not ask for one and that I did not want one knowing they can be gross like that. I live down the street from here so I am forced during an emergency to come to this he'll hole you call an hospital. I am hoping I can me soon so I do not have to come here anymore. I would give them less of a star if I could. There was 2 nurses that where nice out of the 7 times I have been here. I had to get stiches in my arm which they left the wire sticking out. But I did not know any better till I went to my original Dr. Who had a look like they messed up on my stiches.

Emergency room visit I just got back home from was by far the most pointless visit i could have ever had... with pain levels 8 out 10 and they did not address my pain at all... after 3 hours of being there all I got was a referral to a different doctor. The emergency staff there is not medically inclined enough to deal with the most typical of problems. Absolutely the most disappointing experience I wouldn't wish on anyone. I will be driving 3 times the distance to go to a different place in the future. Avoid this place at all costs!

My granfather was transffered here from a much better place and doesnt get the service he needs! It honestly upsets me....they had promised good care but almost all the nurses are nothing but rude. Twenty four hour day care? .....yeah right, as if and also hourly staff visits ? Dont make me laugh , dont mean to be rude but it just upsets me soooo much👿

I had my first son 3 years ago at St. Alexus in Hoffman Estates and have regretted every day I did not go back to that hospital to have my son. First day I was told I could only have 2 people at a time visiting, so I tried to tell people to come at different times. Well then the next day my parents, who had my 3 yr old, came to visit me with my little brother and sister and were not allowed in the room at the same time. Whatever. I come to find out after speaking to a head nurse, or whatever she is, that the 2 person max was lifted 2 weeks ago..lol what a joke. Then I asked for the room to be cleaned and sheets to be changed..6 HOURS it took and me asking 3 times before his was done. I also removed my own IV because 2 nurses forgot to do it lol then more aggravating crap but to top off my last nite, I spoke to the afternoon nurse and received a pillow, blanket and sheet for my 3 yr old to sleep on the pullout couch cuz he's been taking a new baby around hard and 7 hours later, I was just told by the PM nurse at 8:30 at night when he's already sleeping, he can't stay here, hospital rules. Well let me tell u he's not leaving so this time call a supervisor and let me tell them how their entire staff clearly have not received and read the same damn employee manual. I am disgusted and appalled by what should have been an amazing time for my family and I welcoming a new baby and I am counting down the minutes until we go home and I will NEVER come to this hospital again and be sure to tell everyone I know how dysfunctional the staff and "rules" are. The rules that change with every shift and staff member! Cherry on top, food is horrible and most of the staff is rude, unbelievable experience!
