SHORT VERSION: DO NOT LET THIS WOMAN TOUCH YOUR PETS. Unless, of course if you want your loved ones mistreated, mishandled, and traumatized –not to mention a quality of work that is completely unacceptable. I have been to many groomers in the past, and this is the first I have been compelled to review – it is more so to WARN others. DETAILED: Unfortunately, I did not read the reviews on this place ahead of time, and that was a huge mistake. First off, we have excellent dogs, well trained, well behaved, and very friendly/interactive. We have a 11mo old Great Pyrenees (100lbs) and one 2yr old husky mix (60lbs) – both have a lot of hair. She was asked to bathe both, remove a couple of burs from the large one, and cut the other one short. The owner, Amy seemed ok with doing the job and gave us the impression she was well experienced. She indicated this would be absolutely no problem. She was allowed to trim some of the large dog’s neck hair if needed to remove the burs. Upon returning to get our pets, I first noticed them in the same cage, damp, and with a high speed cold fan blowing directly on them – the smaller one was shivering cold. I noticed right away something was wrong. Once home, they stayed hidden in the corners, wouldn’t interact, eat or drink. On inspection, the large one had been scraped by the trimmers near his ears, and had blood red marks on his neck, which were sensitive to touch. Some of his nails were cut, some were not. The hair was trimmed so close to his neck; it was almost a joke. Even this was crooked though, and she left the front of his neck untouched so it looked ridiculous. It was an obvious hack job. The small one was shaved so close to her skin, that she had red streaks from the trimmer showing through and pink elsewhere. The hair on her head was kept longer, which was ok but totally uneven – wasn’t even close. She hardly bathed the dog. I immediately drove back to ask about these concerns. She quickly became defensive, blaming the shoddy work on the dogs – calling one stupid, and then saying she did exactly what she was asked. She then revealed that she “had to get” HER HUSBAND TO “HOLD ONE DOWN” while she shaved his neck! This dog has never resisted anything, and is a large calm breed - I could only imagine how terrified my dog was while being forced down by a full grown man with this lady scraping his neck with the trimmers. When asked why she didn’t call when she had issues, she had no other answer except to cry and ask me to leave. I’m hoping others will read the reviews here and are fully aware of everything you sign up for at “ Amy’s Fluffy Friends “ - there are comments on how rough she was with their dog, some mention hearing the dogs crying from outside the store, others have actually seen her being rough with the dogs. If you complain she gives you the number to her friend with whom she did some training.

Took my puppy there for his first haircut I can't even describe what I seen first hand being screamed at were i could here from outside, being held up by his neck, grabbed by his face I can't even imagine a person being so cruel. I then brought him to country max they told me he was traumatized, and asked if she was going to finish his haircut which she had done so poorly. They had never seen a puppy so scared and his haircut is beyond words. So I do not recommend this Groomer if you love your dog. I had to learn a horrible lesson but will never go there again! It was as bad as taking your infant child for her first set of shots. I'm beyond mad, but want to forewarn others before you experience this horrible place.

Please if you love your pets DO NOT bring them to this groomer...she is extremely abusive to the animals that she grooms. Screamed at my moms dog. Was grabbing him by the mouth and throat. Was just horrible. Worst experience ever!!!!!!
