I have been to Petland many times and all I see are puppies, cats, bunnies, ext... wanting to get out because of the negative environment they are in. Whenever I go, I always see puppies sitting in their own waste in cages that do not allow room for play. The dogs and cats go through rotations from store to store until someone buys them. The puppies, I don't know about the cats or other animals, come from puppy mills. Puppy mills are overcrowded places full of dogs that are forced to breed until they physically cannot anymore. They sit in tiny cages with 7 or more dogs with their waste as their bedding. I have neighbors that have only bought their dogs from Petland and all have died of diseases within a year. Do not buy from Petland as tempting as it is to give them a home, please go to breeder, pounds, shelter, or other trusted sources for your pet to ensure they come from a safe, loving environment.

Purchased one of my two bearded dragons from this petland location. He’s an active reptile and plenty healthy! The store is well organized and the staff is excellent. Thank you to Skyelaar for educating me on how to take excellent care of my beardie! Wont find me at any other pet store.

Way over priced for dogs! They are not of breeding quality which u expect to get for the prices they are charging. Our dog has tons of medical genetic issues. No one will breed with us because of those issues. Staff was rude when I suggested they compesate us for the deception. Further more don't finance anything unless u are comfortable with 25% interest even with an experion score over 750! They claimed all dogs are not guaranteed to be of breeder quality despite being told the breeder my dog came from being a reputable source or so petland stated. I call BS on that one. No info about breeder was given and upon requesting was directed to akc website where I need to pay additional money for pedigree. Stay away from these rip off artists and pet mill supporters. Rebecca was quite rude during the conversation about a refund. Recorded whole conversation. I also signed an agreement to stop puppy Mills but where did they get our dog from? Yes u guessed correct a puppy mill!

(if I could give 0 stars, I would) STAY AWAY FROM PETLAND ALL PLACES LIKE IT!! Their animals are from puppy mills where they have been treated poorly and have possibly been exposed to harmful diseases. Petland may seem like a harmless place where people can take their children to look at all of the cute little puppies, but it can expose people to potentially harmful bacteria. They may tell you their animals are from reputable breeders, just know that these "reputable breeders" are places that have over 1000 puppies at the same time, abuse the animals, and treat them like crap (a.k.a. puppy mills). You can read about how people have gotten a puppy here (for a very unreasonably high price) and have had to put it down because of a problem that Petland didn't tell them about, or didn't know about. Don't bother with their complementary vet exam that comes with the animal, those veterinarians are just paid to assure you that your animal is healthy. If you are looking for a companion, why not go to a shelter? The animals are treated better, cost a substantial amount less than pet stores, and are healthier. You can help an animal in need, or you can find an unreasonably priced, unhealthy animal. The choice is yours.
