(EDIT: I just found out in the news a girl was raped here, and it doesn't suprise me because when I was there, two boys snuck into my room and hid in the showers. If it wasn't for the fire alarm that night, I could have been raped myself) I was placed here when I was 14; I was on suicide watch. First of all, my "doctor" gave me incorrect drugs for something entirely different than my depression. The beds were hard as a rock, the place was dirty and had roaches, they even made me sleep on the floor once (wish I was joking). We had to arise fairly early in the morning and our meal schedules were hours apart, I lost so much weight there due to this. If you questioned or did something they didn't quite like, they'd threaten you to stay longer. My parents tried calling and getting a hold of someone to ask about me, but they had a hard time. Sometimes the nurses would burst into our rooms at about 2am to "check our blood pressure". The nights were horrible for more severly ill patients were roaming the halls freely, screaming. The only positive thing here was the quality of the food. These people only care about their money, so please never send anyone you love here.

2 reviews 1.0 star rating 10/3/2017 My mother is currently a patient there and was sent this past Friday night. She was originally at Gwinnett Medical Hospital, but they transferred her to this facility and it's not a place I would have chosen for my mother to get the help and support she needs. For people that are dealing with behavioral health issues, this isn't the right place that any family member would feel comfortable about sending their loved one to because it isn't a safe facility. I read the reviews of this facility after my mother contacted me to let me know they were transporting her there. Had I had the choice to intervene, I would have. I got a call from her around 11:00 pm on Friday night. The facility location/decision was already made for her by the admin staff at Gwinnett Medical Hospital. They were the ones who called different facilities to place my mother in and no one gave me a heads up of which facility they were going to send her to. The most alarming review was about a girl getting raped recently, in addition to theft and fights. But I decided to just pray and hope that the reviews were from patients that weren't in their right state of mind because when I visited my mom, I shared my concerns about the review with the receptionist and she told me that most of those bad reviews are from patients that are not in their right mind/psychological issues, so I just accepted that as a possibility to remove my doubt and fear. I strongly believe in having my own experience with anything before I am able to conclude or form an opinion about it. It's very hard to get ahold of the doctor and social worker. My mother's social worker is Brooke Hill and I don't have the doctor's name. I was told that they were supposed to contact me on Monday, so I called today and after several attempts, I was able to at least speak with the receptionist and left a voicemail for the social worker. I hope she calls me back tomorrow. My mom called me today and told me that her room mate assaulted her. She scratched my mom in the head and my mom doesn't feel safe, she called the police. My biggest issue with this facility is safety and communication. They are supposed to be in a facility to get help, not get assaulted. I was trying to not be negative about this place when I read the reviews and HOPED my mom's outcome wouldn't be like this, that she wouldn't get hurt by any of the other patients. If you have a choice to get your family member help, please keep them away from this facility. It does more harm than good. Now I am worried sick about my mom. All I was trying to do was rest easy knowing she's getting professional mental help and support she needs, but at the cost of her safety being at risk, it just isn't worth it. This place is for people that do not have health insurance and it's very disappointing to know that because this is a free facility, a lot of their patients are not safe. Had my mom had insurance, she wouldn't have been sent here, it was out of my hands, but myself, including my family would have paid for a facility out of pocket rather than dealing with all of this. Whoever funds and operates this facility should take these reviews seriously to bring about change and address the safety issues.

It was dirty. There was no "therapist " as promised. And the so-called gluten free meal options are just black beans and molded fruit. I was so dehydrated when I was discharged. Most of the staff was rude and all you do is sit around, put together puzzles, and color all day. The "groups" are more geared towards people with a addiction or drinking problems, so it was hard to relate. You're looked down on and treated like child. My roommate's body was literally shedding from the inside out and she was in an immense amount of pain, and they refused to bring her to the ER. I asked for a butterfly needle when they came to take my blood because I'm terrible with needles and sensitive to pain and she stuck me with the normal one anyway with an attitude after she said she'd go look for the requested butterfly needle. A girl almost successfully hung herself my first day there. There were patients that really needed to be in the C hall that were not. Don't even get me started on the meds mix ups and incompetent staff. This place is just awful and needs to be shut down. My mom and I were lied to and I felt completely unsafe and disgusted my entire stay.

Absolutely terrible. A relative of mine was a patient here for several weeks. He was returned to us with nothing. They lost all his pants and shirts, his shoes, a duffle bag, his wallet, and all his identification and insurance cards. The phone system doesn't function past the person answering at the front desk. I was forced to drive to the hospital multiple times to get answers to simple questions, and even this required waiting for over an hour in the lobby. I had great difficulty arranging for his care because I was given very little information about his condition and only told about his release two days prior. This is despite that fact that I have the proper legal authority to discuss and make decisions about his health care - paperwork which Anchor immediately lost. If you are in a position to make a choice about crisis and addiction centers, I strongly suggest looking elsewhere.

I wouldn't send my deflated blow up doll here! What the heck kind of facility loses a minor child and waits 55 minutes to contact the parent! Then when she ask to speak to a supervisor about the situation cause it's now been 3 hours and no update you hang up on her repeatedly! Incompetent imbeciles!
