Story

The Animal Clinic and Hospital is a full service veterinary clinic located at 1222 S. Logan in Moscow. The twenty six member staff consists of seven veterinarians, 6 veterinary technicians, 6 veterinary assistants, four receptionists, an office manager and three kennel technicians. One of the many advantages of our multi-veterinarian clinic is the interaction the doctors experience as complicated and difficult cases are seen. We pride ourselves in providing quality, compassionate care to our patients and offering a modern up-to-date facility with many diagnostic and surgical options that are often found only at teaching facilities, yet we offer these procedures at affordable prices.

In all honesty, the staff is pretty friendly and nice. But here's my beef with this company...

1) They recommended an $1800 surgery for my dog to fix a knee problem that I got fixed for under $200 by taking him in for regular chiropractic adjustments for a few months. He now walks and runs on it just fine. Maybe don't jump immediately into a thousands of dollars procedure fix, especially when it's only got a 60% success rate? Mind you, that statistic was not offered up, I had to specifically ask about how successful it was. I'm definitely going to need better odds before I shovel out that kind of money.
2) I took my dog in for vaccinations, and during the visit I said I wanted to get his annual dental done. They poke around in his mouth and I get an estimate for a dental that, on the high end, is going to be around $484.34. While that is a good chunk of change, I was completely okay with it and saved and budgeted for it. I even saved up an extra hundred and twenty dollars just in case it went over. So while they're in the middle of the dental, they call me and say that it's actually going to be closer to $800 after it's all said and done. My estimate was under by 65%, which I would say is a pretty bad estimate. 
***The real issue I have with this entire situation is that because they gave me a low "high end" estimate, I was short on money. There was no, "Sorry we're bad at our jobs and gave you a really bad estimate." The response was, "payment is expected in full at time of service." I told them I could pay them the rest in two days after I get paid again, but that wasn't okay I guess.
 
Oh, but I can apply for a credit card to pay for it. Thanks for that. But had the estimate not been short by THREE HUNDRED DOLLARS, I would have just saved for another month and paid it in full.

We’ve had excellent experiences here for years. Two dogs and two cats have had visits here for better part of a decade, snd everyone from the vets to the techs to the front office staff are top-notch. 

We had an emergency visit last week with a dog that seriously injured himself, and they were ready for us (after my wife called) by the time I got to the front door of the clinic in five minutes. Our pup is healing up well, and I know Animal Clinic will help us again in the future for both emergencies and routine checkups and vaccinations.

The staff and veterinarians there are wonderful.  They treat your pet(s) like they are their most important/favorite patient. My dogs get very excited when I pull into the parking lot and can barely wait to go inside.

This is one of the best vets in town! The staff is kind, patient, and very accommodating. They can get me in when I need, and don't try to charge over the top or tell you to pay for things you don't need. Honest, caring, and clean! They are also one of the most affordable places in Pullman/Moscow, but highest quality vet care.

Great experience with Dr.Kuhrt here! She makes sure she is on track with our dogs’records and conditions whenever we check in. Has been really helpful with suggestions and explaination. Our dogs have had a couple of treatments and surgery here, every time they recovered very well. The bills are reasonable, not as high end as some other practices in the Palouse. All the staff are helpful, do their job kindly and correct.  Very helpful with prep and follow-ups. I would highly recommend this place.
