We spent 4, very cold hours here today, and had a blast! Staff was wonderful and knowledgeable. I was afraid the animals wouldn't be active due to the cold weather, but they were just fine. Can't wait for spring to visit again. Parrot house was our favorite.

My SO LOVES sloths. We brought the kids and got her the sloth experience. The kids had a blast! She got to feed the sloth and give it butt scratches. We will be back for the fox and monkey experience.

Took the family there today and we ALL had fun. You get to see and touch animals up close. The staff so friendly and knowledgeable. I think our kids enjoyed this more than the zoo in Asheboro! You can tell the animals are well cared for. A very nice visit!!

Absolutely loved this place! My husband and I both payed for the sloth encounter and it was so worth it and goes to a great cause supporting the animals! Very up close and personal with all of the animals!

First of all, this ain't the Asheboro Zoo - that's not a good or bad thing. It's the rural home site of a successful small business, where said business owners allow you to roam within feet of their personal dwelling to gawk at their vast array of pets inside of their creatively designed home made sanctuaries. We traveled about 90 miles one way and it was totally worth it. You might also be accosted by tame, free roaming turtles and pigs, and of course a few cats and dogs. We took our time and spent about 2 hours there. Be sure and walk through the bamboo forest!
