When I was injured in a hit and run last year by a stolen vehicle, I had no choice than to recover from my damages through my insurance. I received so many calls from attorneys looking to gain my business. I turned them all down. I chose Ankin Law because of my familiarity with the Firm as I’ve seen Mr. Howard Ankin active on my job campus and speaking to many of the union members. He’s always kind and informative so there was no hesitation for me to reach out to his legal team. It was only right. I was connected with attorney Maria Merman. I initially misjudged her thinking she was too nice and not aggressive enough to go up against my own insurance. Oh boy was I wrong. It took time but it was well worth the wait especially considering how low the first offer from StateFarm was. She was able to get a best and final offer that surpassed the initial. She was great! And I recommend her and the Ankin Law team to all!

Ankin Law is the real deal. I was in an Auto Accident and My Attorney; Maria Merman and her Assistant; Adriana Carrillo, were able to get me twice the gross Settlement being offered and they were able to get me a bigger net settlement by reducing all my Medical costs from what I was being charged. This was something I thought could not be done as I thought you paid for the cost of medical procedures at full price. what I really appreciated was how Maria guided through this process by educating me on how Auto Accident cases worked. I had never been in a Car Crash before and how all that worked in terms of getting my medical bills paid and so forth was new to me. Maria was very Knowledgeable and answered all my questions that I had. If anyone reading this review is looking for an Attorney who will fight for them, I would Recommend Maria Merman because she is a Warrior.
From start to finish Ankin Law went above and beyond. I was grateful for the time and energy put into my case. As well as the level of communication regarding the process. I was always kept informed and my questions were always throughly answered. Moreover, Maria Merriman, Attorney at Law., was my attorney and she is amazing! Talk about Woman empowerment, she not only was extremely knowledgeable but was passionate and committed to an equitable outcome. Her negotiation skills were superb, as she was able to reduce medical fees a tremendous amount, I’d estimate she cut them by more than 80%. I felt that she was on my team. I would never want to end up in a situation like this again but if I did, I’d choose Ankin Law and Maria!
Helpful. I feel like they took care of business effectively. I didn't feel stressed about my case. They made sure I didn't pay a single cent towards doctor's visits or physical therapy. They made sure my temporary disability payments came through quickly. I didn't even need to talk to my job's workers comp department. I gave them my lawyer's contact info and my lawyer took care of everything. They manged to get me quite a decent amount of money with the settlement amount, too. If someone I knew of had a worker's comp case, I would send them to this law firm.

Ms Maria Merman is one of the best attorneys that I know in Illinois.
