Story

We are pleased to announce the opening of Annapolis Family Medicine. We are small, friendly, family medical practice focused on health, wellness and preventive care. Our practice is designed for the patient, not the doctor and his staff!

We are located at 104 Ridgely Ave, Suite 302 in the West Annapolis area. (See Contact Us page for complete address and directions. You can contact us by telephone at 410-280-9500. Our fax number is 443-214-5168. m.

The cornerstone of our practice is Bill Dabbs, M.D., with an office now at a new, more convenient location. Nurse Practitioner, Gale Cromwell, is also working along side Dr. Dabbs. Also working with Dr. Dabbs is Casey Lehner, a Registered Dietitian who provides individual counseling and group classes on nutrition and health. Rounding out our provider staff is Kathy B. Gabriel, Ph.D., a clinical psychologist.

The reason for my stars would be Castle Donovan, she is AMAZING. If you go, see her. However, there is quite an issue with billing here. I've had to call multiple times to sort out bills that were not coded correctly or where I was paying too much of a copay when my card clearly states my copay amount. A bit frustrating. Everyone is very friendly but it feels as if I am spending more time completing or following up on administrative work than I should as a patient. Every patient should inquire about their bills and make sure they are being charged correctly, but it seems as if I am going above and beyond here compared to even some of my specialist doctors. I have voiced my concerns many times and I feel as though they are brushed off. I went over a week without hearing back from them for an issue they continuously seem to have with LabCorp. I have worked in insurance claims and I know what goes into it, it's either an issue with their coding or simply their billing department. I still have a bill that is in limbo. Being someone who is financially responsible, this is causing me to consider switching to a different practice, which I have also voiced but feel unheard. When it comes to the actual services rendered, I am happy and have a history with them so it is unfortunate that I even have to write this.When I call insurance or LabCorp it takes me 5 minutes to get an answer versus waiting for the actual people who are responsible and paid to do this, to do it.

The worst office I have ever dealt with. It takes at least a week for them to refill your prescriptions. They never call back, or answer their phones. Certain doctors are there only certain days, which is ridoculous. You leave multiple messages and they won't respond. I will definitely be switching offices shortly.
