AOC Brentwood
"The groundbreaking small plates and wines by the glass concept of A.O.C. launched in 2002 and has had a continuing impact on the dining style of the Los Angeles public. Enhancing her farmers’ market-inspired small plates menu, Goin adds nightly focaccia baked in the wood burning oven and large plates designed to share along with tempting desserts. This stunning Westside location features a full bar with Caroline Styne's favorite wines, premium and artisanal spirits, liqueurs and aperitifs."

First time visiting and it was a good experience. All staff hostess, bartenders and our servers were all attentive and made great recommendations. Bacon wrapped dates were a great starter, the fried chicken was tasty and the lamb ribs were the highlight for us. Really great, bold flavors. Finished off with a sweet dessert, would go back again.
We enjoyed our meal here, but definitely felt a bit over hyped. The wines were nice, we really enjoyed the sampler seen below but the fried chicken fell short of our expectations. The steak was beautifully cooked, and we enjoyed the butterscotch dessert. I don't know if we'll come back, but overall it was a good meal.
They have great selection of food on their menu. We sat outside was very enjoyable and great service. Everything tasted good: lol e for one bottle of wine for $34 but on our bill they charged us $80 for it. Then we asked for a wine they didn’t have and brought us something “similar” charged us $160 for it. So I think that was a bit too much for simple work dinner but anyways the food is good there for sharing I’ll definitely go back and make sure to check the bill before I leave
A popular restaurant in Brentwood for politicians to host fund raising dinners. The ambiance is great for special occasion celebration. Unlike its former self Tarvin, AOC not the NY politician serves Spanish like tapas. All foods come in small dishes and they are meant for sharing. We came to celebrate my wife’s birthday. Among the tapas dishes we ordered included the popular farmer’s plate, Faccacia bread, Spanish fried chicken, soft crab, calm and garlic, curry cauliflower, hanger steaks and duck confit. We were told that we should order two dishes per person. The amount of food was just right to keep us all fed. All of the dishes were delectable. We particularly liked the farmer’s plate and hanger steaks. The veggies and the cheese were quite fresh and delicious. The toasted sourdough bread was amazing. The hanger steaks were grilled to perfection on the medium rare side. I loved the grilled beef taste. Our waiter was very attentive on serving us. He kept an eye on the food and ensured the food came out on time. The only complaint I have is the bank busting price tab on the dishes. For a small dish like the 4oz hanger steak, it would set you back $25 and the duck confit that can barely give you one bite costs $26. Since dishes come in very small tapas sizes, you have to order many. The dinner bill would come to a few hundred dollars for a party of 4. Parking is in the back of the restaurant and they would validate.
There’s a good variety on the menu. Some of the tavern menu is showing up on the Google maps, that’s misleading the current A.O.C dessert menu, I.e., the snickers bar is no longer on the menu. Something to keep in mind about A.O.C is the dishes are small and if you’re sharing some of your favourite dishes, your may need to get two!
will definitely come back for brunch and dinner...i organized a small baby shower get together and everyone enjoyed it.Food: 5/5
We went tonight to celebrate our 7th anniversary. When we arrived we were asked if this was a special occasion and I replied yes, we are celebrating 25 years together and 7 years married. We were seated and at first the service was outstanding. However, once we ordered which was a starter and then a couple light appetizer plates my husbands food was delivered first. I watched him eat his entire meal before our waiter returned and said “have they not brought you the brioche”. My reply was no. I waited for a few more minutes and it was finally delivered. At that point, I unfortunately had lost my appetite. There was no apology for the delay and we were wished a lovely evening when we left. I only wish this would have been a good experience as I was a loyal Lucques customer for many years. Big disappointment.
Last night I had a pleasant experience at Tavern LA. In the truest fashion of a unique California experience, I must say the food was beyond expectation! The service staff were prompt and attentive and I would recommend this establishment for and small office function desiring to host 15 or so members! Excellent location and gem of California!
Although parking was not as easy as I had hoped, it is in Brentwood and should be expected. We went for brunch, and we decided to sit at one of the tables in the front area, which has plenty of natural sunlight. this involves ordering from the counter and pouring your own water, but it was worth it in my opinion. I'm docking a star because we had to clean our own table and chairs. Service was not amazing. We ordered a combination of things and I tried the avocado toast with poached egg and prosciutto. I also tried the eggs benedict. It was probably the best avocado toast I have ever had, but the eggs benedict were nothing special. they made us leave after a couple hours because they said they had to prepare for some kind of event...
Very good food. We had ourdoor seating and they put on the heater for us, which helped immensly. Overall highly recommended place, definetly worth a visit. Staff were very friendly too. Wine selection was sufficient for a wine bar, but not exceptional.
