I just had the great fortune of camping a few days here and we had an amazing time. Although, the weather was in the 30's at night the campground conditions were excellent and the hosts were friendly and very helpful. The campgrounds were very clean and well kept. And, it was really nice to have nearby hot showers and restroom facilities with heaters. I've been camping all over this country and our group thought these were some of the nicer campgrounds we've been to. There were a lot of RV using the campgrounds and could be annoying with loud generators but the hosts were good at keeping them apart from the campers. There were some noisy campers there that were partying a bit loud. So, I apologize to those that were camping near our campsite. What can I say, it took us many hours to get here from home but it was well worth the travel. All in all, the experience was fantastic! We got to see some amazing wildlife, caught some great fish, and met some nice people along the way. I sincerely hope I get the good fortune to come back in the near future to see some of the surrounding lakes and more of the countryside.

Not really camping in my book...but, cool for families. Showers and nice bathrooms. Can be loud, people partying. It was $25 a night, which is crazy, but you get a lot of amenities. Fifty dollhairs for a double or a trailer. Spots fill up quick. Check out his around 1pm, so get there early, not a lot of first come first serve spots. You can reserve online though.

Over priced. Kids in a small tent charged $42 per night in addition to our full hook up rate. We could have rented a cabin at these prices. Absolutely unfair rates when a site is shared.

Loved the campground, beautiful setting, nice facilities. Unfortunately the campground hosts were terrible. Apparently the reservation site doesn't tell of all the extra charges. Single site you can have one car and unlimited people and tents. Double sites can have only 2 cars and two tents and up to 16 people. Any extra tents or cars add $26/ night, the cost of a whole site. The supervisors were very friendly as we tried to sort it out, but the camp hosts had it out for us, constantly photographing our sites, even in the midst of us working with the supervisors. They even threatened one our friends to prosecute to the full extent of the law, completely missing that they were only making things worse. Supervisors acknowledged there's a problem with wrong/incomplete info on reservation site (ie. False advertising), but wouldn't budge a smidge even though the reservation site said extra tent was $8 extra, not $26. They wanted cash for the extra charges--a bit scammy. We've camped with large groups all around the state, never had these kinds of problems before. Again, campground great, Hosts were TERRIBLE!

Hosts are fantastic! Very helpful and friendly. They would always take a moment to talk with us. . Campground is the only one with hookups at Big Lake. Great price when using the senior card.
