My wife, daughter and I had the opportunity to spend a few days here in early July. The camp hosts were outstanding. They provided excellent input on the area and even took one day to go ATVing with us - showing some of the more beautiful parts of the Rim - elk, deer, wild horses, all manner of birds. We love rock-hounding and were able to find a wide variety of rocks. We also loved their afternoon Happy Hour (4ish). We sat under awning while watching the rain blow in, met several people from back home (literally within a mile of each other back in IL), and simply had a blast telling stories and laughing lots over a couple of drinks. If you are looking for a spot to park your rig for a bit and get out and explore the Rim, The Arizona High Country Campground, could be the right place for you and yours.

Seasonal RV camping. Nice looking park, not to large, out in the country away from town, quiet and peaceful.
