It seems that I have a similar experience to some on here, but am not sure if I’m at the right place. I’ll just leave the name of of the guy who tried to sell us the car because he’s a straight-up liar. Slava Sakovich seemed friendly enough when my wife first met to test drive a Subaru Outback. But then he just got really pushy which raised some red flags. He also knew nothing about this car when we asked him basic facts about the car. We put down a $100 deposit on the car which he said he’d give back if the mechanic found any structural damage. Admittedly that wasn’t the best decision on our part. We asked him for Car Fax and he sent us some other report showing it had never been in an accident and had one owner. Luckily, we saw the Car Fax as we were test driving one last time. Turns out it had 3 owners and had been totaled. When we asked him to lower the price he said his price was lowest with a clean title. He kept on trying to lead us to believe nothing was wrong with the car when it was a salvaged title. Luckily, we walked away, but he didn’t give us our deposit back even though he lied and tried to take advantage of our inexperience. Don’t buy a car from this guy. Ever. He is at 1563 West 960 North Orem, UT.

This guy is buying total loss vehicles with clean titles and reselling them without notifying his clients of the total loss claim. So when you trade it in or sell it, the value is 1/2 to 1/4 of trade in value. Utah is a buyer beware state, so beware. Do not buy a vehicle from Apex Auto in Orem. They showed me a clean carfax as well as said there was a clean title. I tried to trade in my vehicle and come to find out it is worth 1/4 of its value because the vehicle has been in a total loss accident. Somehow he showed me a clean carfax at the time of sale and now the carfax shows total loss. Also, he mentioned that he did some "touch-up" work on the bumper, come to find out it is a new bumper and new hood. When he did the repairs they did not put a primer on the bumper so it looks like a thousand rocks have been shot at my front bumper. Also after we bought it the battery harness was missing, the window wiper pump did not work, and he would not pay for the repair of the bumper. I would highly recommend buying a vehicle elsewhere.

At first this guy seemed to be doing a great business. He gave us a 3 month warranty but 6 months later we now learn that the car had been in an accident and the axel is bent and has to be replaced. The tires are wearing unevenly. So sad that he wouldn't have had this car checked better before selling! Be sure you take your car to a mechanic before purchasing!!! We were too trusting!

The car I bought had a clean, no accident title.....after buying it in a hurry due to time constraints I noticed even though the engine ran well, it had been in a major accident and been repaired, I tried to have the alignment adjusted and the shop I went to said there was no way to adjust it any more due to how messed up the front side was....it was clearly in a head on and repaired, not only that but the rear defroster didn't work and a few other small things. Have whatever you're thinking of inspected completely and expect to get a repaired car that may have issues after you buy it. (full value for major repaired cars = crooks)

I purchased a truck which immediately had several problems. They purchase vehicles they haven't seen online, find out they have worse problems than expected, try to quick fix them, don't test them to make sure that they are working well, then sell them. I have spent $5,000 fixing it after owning it 2 months, and the shop I took it to says the engine is missing bolts and still needs $2000 work. I highly recommend avoiding.
