It’s just like all the other ones, which I’d award 3 stars too also. We keep trying it because it’s close to home, wanting it to be impressive. It never is. Just mildly disappointing. Wife’s lime chicken was very sour. My Caesar side salad had rotten lettuce. Server didn’t bother to ask why I barely touched it. So why 2 stars? The music. I’m not a prude but I don’t want to hear Selena Gomez singing about grinding bodies in a club when it’s Sunday morning brunch - at a family establishment. While we were there, promptly at noon, the manager turned it up a little more even. There’s a time and place for that sort of music, but not Sunday at brunch.

10 minutes after ordering had to ask for our salads, it wasn't busy, but the staff was distracted by visiting with customers while sitting down across from them in another booth or in another instance sitting with them. Informed the waitress that we didn't want our food coming with the salad, she said that wouldn't happen, it didn't ,but the food was lukewarm on arrival that meant they held it back in the kitchen :( we were asked how our food was the manager even came by, we ate some of the food and just took the other lukewarm to now cold food, for leftovers. Why not complain, you say, the manager could see what was going on, so why bother, will not be going back this was the second negative experience here in Augusta with Applebees :( I did leave a 20% tip, despite the overall experience people were nice, but for $34 + $6 tip nice doesn't make it!!!

Overall, I like this Applebee's. The staff is friendly and the drinks are good. The three stars are for their food, it seems like their food quality has gone down over the last year or so. Avoid the chicken, it has a rubbery texture and weird flavor.

I wish there was a way i could pick 0 stars! My husband and I went here last night to order out. I sat in the car for 20 minutes and then my husband came out of the restaurant empty handed. I thought maybe the food wasnt ready yet and he was going to just sit with me. But when he got in the car he was angry and said LET'S GO!!! He had sat at the bar the entire time and NOBODY came to get his order. When he asked someone who worked behind the bar who takes the orders he was told "she's around here some place" and the person kept it moving. So NO Applebee's we will not be returning back to this location. Which is sad because we live 5 minutes away and now we have to go to the one in Evans. Your lost!!!!

Service was great. My burbon street chicken was slightly cold, plate barely warm. Seasonings are bland as always. Won't be coming back for awhile. Update from attempt number 2: So one year later... My service was rather crappy. My chicken was so over done I couldn't cut it, the shrimp wasn't fully cooked. I asked for another one since it was so burnt. This will be my last attempt to eat here.
