I usually like Applebee's, but the service at this restaurant has gone down hill significantly in recent months. Twice now I've waited for more than 20 minutes before receiving a drink or the server even acknowledging my presence there. 

Of course, going to Applebee's means I have certain expectations, a couple were met and some were not:
1) I can come and go in about an hour (Fail)
2) Food will be the same as any other Applebee's (Pass)
3) Servers will provide average service (Fail)
4) The restaurant will generally be clean and neat (Pass)
5) The experience will be pleasant and predictable (Pass)

You'll be better going somewhere else until management is able to get the issues with service resolved. I did see a new person being trained there. Maybe things will be better in the coming days.

I haven't been to Applebee's in years. I placed a car side to go order yesterday around 4:30 and asked for it to be ready around 7:30. I arrived about 7 minutes early in which I would have understood if my food wasn't ready however NO ONE came out to greet me or tell me they were still waiting for my food to be ready. I called right at 7:#0 as there is a sign stating "If you have been waiting for longer than a minute, call us" and the gentleman was very nice but said "Yeah, I see you we are just waiting for your mozzarella sticks but they should be ready any minute". 
So I waited a few more minutes and he finally comes out. He apologized about the wait and I went on my way. I got home and the chicken on my salad was super dark like it was SUPER old. It even tasted like it had been sitting around for several hours as well as cold. I have worked in the service industry and I don't except anyone to be perfect but if you are making someone wait for one thing you should cook everything fresh. This is very disappointing because I barely touched my salad because the chicken was so disgusting. I wont be going back.

Great quality and Customer service. Haven't been here in a month and Ty, the tender, remembered what I like and what movie I was going to last time I stopped by. Great people here!

Food was blah and there service was horrendous.  Saved me a good tip and they did discount one of the selections. That was the only redeeming part of the experience.

Other than the no longer existing downtown Minneapolis location, this is the best Applebee’s in the area. They always observe the advertised specials. The service is always fast and friendly. The food is above expectations for the chain. The bar is typically very consistent with drinks and service. There are occasions when the drinks are either under or over poured.
