April is an awesome breathe of fresh air. I had been trying to plan a trip for my husband and I to Hawaii for the last 6 months. I am the type of person that knows what I want (for the most part). We travel quite a bit, and I have never had any problem putting together our own travel packages for our family and anniversary vacations. But, planning for Hawaii started to get a little daunting with all the islands, resort options, and trying to find the best deals.

MY PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE BEFORE APRIL POWERS TRAVEL, LLC

I had read great things about Virtuoso, so I went with a local agent that works under the Virtuoso network. What a disaster! Even though they are supposed to be agents for "luxury" travel, I did not feel like a valued customer. The agent I was working with before did not return phone calls when promised. She did not respond to emails AT ALL. In fact, when I told her I was done working with her AFTER I had already provided my credit card, she never even gave me the courtesy of returning my call or email. So, I dumped her. 

I called another Virtuoso agent and she said they wanted a pretty hefty deposit just to talk to me. She wanted me to fill out a 10 page questionnaire pertaining to issues that didn't even apply to our current travel plans and she spoke down to me and talked to me as though I needed someone to tell me what I liked. After that, I was like forget it!

THANK GOD I FOUND APRIL!

I went to google. It was not easy finding a travel agent with decent reviews. I imagine people are hard on agents because a lot of people only post when things go wrong. But, I found April and I decided to give her a call. She was so nice from the very first phone call. I was calling her towards the end of the day with time-sensitive plans and she didn't hesitate. She had our travel all figured out and booked within just a couple of days over a weekend! I was totally amazed and relieved.

It probably would have been even faster had I not wavered (in speaking with my spouse) on some of the amenities we were looking for. So far, she has returned every phone call and has answered all of my emails. I try not to be high maintenance, but when you are taking a milestone anniversary trip a 12-hour flight away, questions come up and come up and come up. She's been awesome to answer ALL of them within a very short period of time.  She never made me feel like I was a burden or a pain. That seems like this should be standard, but I can tell you from working with other agents, it's not. 

Go with April Powers Travel. You will not be disappointed!

Just returned from the best vacation of a lifetime thanks to April!  Utilizing her knowledge and expertise, April collaborated with us as well as many other parties fine tuning every detail providing us with a personalized travel book with all of the information to keep us organized.  She also gave us advice on tipping and what to expect on our first all-inclusive resort vacation.  April is passionate about her work and a pleasure to work with.  Can't imagine working with any other travel agent for future vacations.

April has always done a fantastic job assisting my family in booking our group vacations (usually 10-14 people).  She is very knowledgeable and trustworthy, and I highly encourage anyone who does not mind having a remote travel agent to utilize her services.  You will not regret it!  Integrity ranks very high in my book, and I am very happy to refer April's services out to anyone looking for convenience and peace of mind when planning a vacation.  She always gives top notch service, and, as long as she is in the business, I will always seek out her services when needed and/or refer her to family, friends, and anyone else who may be in need of her services!

April did a wonderful job of providing us many honeymoon destinations to chose from...April was very knowledgable and detailed about those destinations.Based on her professional knowledge of the destination it helped us to chose the perfect honeymoon resort. April provided a folder with important travel information that made our trip stress free!!! She also made herself available to us day and night while we were traveling. We loved the resort and we are planning a return trip for our anniversary once again using April Powers Travel!!

April is a great travel agent. She is very knowledgeable and professional! However I would recommend she changes the travel insurance from TripMate. They are terrible. I had to cancel my trip and I've been trying to get my money back for the last 6 months. When we made our down payment it was cheaper with the travel insurance but if I knew is was going to be such a hassle, I would not have purchased it
