A friend of mine who is a PT recommended ARC. I was already familiar with the strain-counterstrain method which relieves pain through the release of locked up fascia through a passive yet effective technique. It is slowly gaining notoriety in the PT world and will eventually, in my opinion, replace outdated methods currently used by traditional Physical Therapists. It is science based and not steeped in theory or mysticism. One of the huge positives is that sessions are one on one and you have the PT's attention the entire time, unlike the big chains such as Athletico that are run like a people mill. When I came for some excrutiating neck and shoulder pain, Amy Mc Dowell took a very thorough approach, assessing my mobility and function in every session. In less than three months, I am now pain free and have greater range and function thanks to Amy's professionalism, knowledge of the strain-counterstrain method and her experience. She has even given me a stretch regimen to prevent future flare ups! I cannot thank her enough. If you're still in doubt, they will do a free assessment to show you what they are capable of. Highly recommended.

I had surgery on my shoulder in early February and just completed six months of PT with Alison Ferguson at ARC in the city. What an amazing therapist! She is skilled, knowledgeable, and extremely personable, all qualities that were essential to recovery, especially in the early tough stages of PT. I cannot recommend her and ARC highly enough! I have had physical therapy before, but not like this. I can't tell you the hundreds of thousands of dollars I have spent on therapy, chiropractic care, and massages, and Amy McDowell gave me relief in one session. I feel like the tin man after he was oiled in the Wizard of Oz - everything works again. I couldn't be more thankful! I love the strain/counterstrain method - what a relief it exists!

I am a golfer in my late 50's and developed a back problem for the first time in my life this past spring. I worked with Amy McDowell and am completely healed! She is the best; kind, professional, attentive and extremely knowledgeable and effective. I am a patient for life! Thanks Amy.

Alison is great. I had pain and discomfort in my foot and ankle and had been to countless physical therapists before and no one was able to help with the right treatment. Alison was perfect with diagnosing the problem and giving me the right exercises and treatment to solve the pain. She understood the issues right away and came up with the right solutions. I am happy to say that the results were incredible and I was able to experience progress right away and am pain free. I highly recommend her and am grateful.
