Established in 1951, Arkansas Health Care Association (AHCA) is the state’s largest organization of long term care providers.

Story

Promoting excellence in nursing home and long term care facilities is our top priority. To do that, we focus on providing information, training and support to member facilities throughout the state. And those resources are being put to good use. Our member facilities take a proactive approach to delivering exceptional care, service and satisfaction for residents and their families. Working together, we continue to transform the industry – and improve lives – every day.

Arkansas has emerged as a national leader in the nursing home and long term care profession. We are pleased to report that:

In a recent regional comparison, Arkansas was the only state scoring at or above average in all 15 quality initiatives. Arkansas boasts the lowest national percentage of acute pain patients. Ours was the first state to achieve 100% participation in the Advancing Excellence in America’s Nursing Homes initiative. AHCA has 212 member facilities, representing 93% of nursing home and long term care facilities in the state.

Arkansas Assisted Living Association (AALA) is dedicated to establishing the highest standards of excellence for assisted living professionals providing housing, assisted living and related services to Arkansas seniors. AALA strives to ensure the right of every Arkansas senior who needs daily assistance to receive the highest quality care in a choice-driven, dignified, safe and clean environment, and to promote independence and maintain the highest quality of life. We believe that our seniors should feel that they are “living in their own home.”
