I was taking a long tour on my motorcycle and stayed the night. Very friendly and clean. The price was good to stay the night. Very easy to walk the town. I will stay again next time I am out that way.

The Arkansas House is a great compromise between historic lodging and modern amenities. Situated right on the scenic highway 7 just inside the city limits of Jasper Ar, the location couldn't be more convenient. The building its self is charming and the inside rooms feel warm and inviting. The Arkansas House falls flat with it's weird electrical issues, which weren't severe enough to be deal breaking but disappointing. The lights in the room seemed to work about one out of ten times, which led to pulling the cord over and over again waiting for the light to work. Another more annoying electrical issue was the TV randomly turning on.  This happened to me twice and actually woke me up once in the middle of the night. While on the subject of the TV, the picture quality is horrible it looks like a bunny ear TV with the antennas all out of whack. Despite these annoyances I had a great stay at the Arkansas House and would recommend them to a friend, though I would advise them to unplug the TV before bed.

The rooms were beautiful and very clean. We had the rose room and the garden room. Both were very comfortable and cool with jacuzzi baths. We will definitely go back!

We've stayed here twice: once in the cabin behind the hotel and once in the hotel. This is a small place and run by one man who is also running the restaurant so sometimes you have to go over there if you need something. I don't say this as a negative because he does a good job but for you to be aware if you are used to having a dedicated "concierge". Beautiful little garden in back. Lots of swings and chairs to sit on. Would stay again.
