I bought a box of their rasberry (this spelling is theirs, not mine) danishes from Gastronom on 108 Street. I've tasted anything so horrible: there was just a smear of jam inside some and no jam in others. Wherever there was jam, it tasted like glue. The dough was not fresh. They looked beautiful through the plastic, but never trust their looks. I would not buy their products again.

I used this bakery when I was throwing a birthday party with guests who keep kosher. This place is certified Kosher by Queens Vaad. So there is no question about credibility. Your most religious Jewish in-laws would approve. 

I was a little scared of a cake with non-dairy cream but it tasted fine. It's not a buttery heavenly melt in your mouth kind of cake but it was more than good enough for a 4 year old's birthday party and nothing to be scared of. The cake looks OK. Not fancy or beautiful. 

Tatiana who helped me was kind and helpful. I changed the kind of sponge and added fresh strawberry after I ordered. She didn't give me a hard time. I'm glad that I was able to find a cake every guest could eat and enjoy.
