Pretty corrupt.
From how many people have been appalled by this story, it makes me a bit uneasy that it never came to light. Hopefully things like this aren't still going on. 

I'll make it short because most of the details don't ultimately matter. About 8 years ago, a 13 year old girl went to the station in the middle of the night with her "boyfriend" and his mom to report her abusive parent. After hours of questioning, all she can remember is being shouted at that she's a liar and that he was going to throw her b**ch a** in jail if she didnt tell the truth. Apparently because he was assuming the accusations to get away from her parent were only to get closer to her "boyfriend". That was her first and only time reaching out for help. Way to go, Officer Smiley.

Police quickly checked on my elderly uncle for me when none of his out of town family had been able to reach him.  Thank you Arroyo Grande Police Dept.

The AGPD has always been pretty right on when dealing with me. I used to be more of a flake & I'd end up having to interact with them once in awhile. They were always professional,  polite, respectful, fair & mostly truthful in their dealings with me. One word of caution however is that in my experience, don't ever surrender a gun to them because they will never return it regardless of what they imply because they can be pretty creative.  I appreciate their service.

Called AGPD to report traffic signal at Halcyon & Mesa View out and just witnessed a very near miss but they transfered me to CHP who just said"if it's out its s 4 way stop and everyone should stop. We'll let Cal Trans Know". Nobody wanted to put out temporary stop signs and people were driving thru the intersection.
