Gorgeous exhibit of the arts from most of the modern period from 1400 and onward. The variety of studies on display is inspirational. However with much of the gallery dedicated to European artworks, it leaves little for the post modern and other hemispheres. The Group of Seven is a noteworthy exhibit for any visual artist but the photography exhibit does need improvement. For the cost of entry, it is worth seeing. The location makes for a great date location as its located to Chinatown. The gallery also offers a fine dining establishment. Some exhibits are not kid friendly as they contain mature subject matter. The AGO goes offer a programme for kids and schools.

A relaxed atmosphere perfect for an art lover's paradise. Fully accessible with ramps, elevators and wheelchairs. Community focused programming the whole family can enjoy. Free admission on Wednesday between 6-9pm. Members lounge with comfortable surroundings, full service attendants and light menu. Historic environment with a new age and modern feel. Must see place for an experience that will alter your perspective on life.

An amazing selection of artworks and mediums. I was astonished by some of the historical pieces. We were not able to make it to the museum, but this satisfied my interest in seeing some ancient pieces. They had on a special exhibit that was amazing and the staff are friendly and we'll organized. Give yourself a whole day to explore as we had about 4 hours and maybe got through 75% of the galleries, and we were rushing to try and see it all! I recommend exploring the basement where they have all of the models boats from 17th century onwards, and the Christian themed collection, I am not religious in the least bit, but the detail put into these pieces was incredible.

I love the AGO. If I lived in Ontario, I would get a membership. It has a peaceful and relaxed atmosphere, with beautiful permanent exhibits and interesting, conversation-worthy temporary exhibits. It makes a great multi-generational outing. I enjoy the atrium cafe, as it has a great view of Chinatown, and is in the fun glass ribcage, but wish it was better stocked with snacks, and had a few more tables. I am excited to experience the children's programming in a couple of years!
