It's chill but not for everyone. There's a lot of street kids smoking weed here all day, and once in a while there's a ghetto fight but mostly people are really nice. Sometimes there's jazz playing over loudspeakers.

The area has always been known for its transiant, and homeless crowd, but now the homeless college age "PUNKS" are starting to threaten people stopping for water. I've read other reviews and posts about this place, and it seems to be a more and more common occurrence. They look like the same punks you'd find up at Evergreen State now. I'd give it one star, but my family enjoys the water from the well. I just wish there was more of a police presance in the area for public safety. These punks act like this is they're personal property, and if you don't fit in with they're political agenda... your not allowed to be there.

The water is nice and cold. The park itself gets filled with all kinds of people, but everyone is friendly and helpful if needed.

Amazing that there is freely flowing water 24/7. The city has made this place absolutely beautiful with artwork, tiles, tables, a path. Yet, it is full of shady people sitting at the tables whom have no where else to go. I would love to bring my family here, but I just don't feel it is safe.
