I found Jim a couple of months ago when I ran into trouble assembling a bike that I bought online (horrible, horrible instructions). I took it to Artisan and he had it put together perfectly in about an hour. I then looked up his prices for tune-ups, and they were about 30-40 percent less than what the big stores were charging.

Then, last week, my daughter crashes her bike and breaks the brake line and bends one of the parts on the back wheel. I call Jim and he says I can bring it in the next day, and he'll fix it while I wait. We have a nice conversation while listening to cool bluegrass music (he also plays in a bluegrass band). He's done in about 20 minutes, and when I ask him what the cost is, he tells me not to worry about it because he was out there anyway. Jim would not only be the coolest neighbor to have, he runs a great, community-oriented independent business. I'm a customer for as long as I live in Naperville, and probably even if I move to another city within 25 miles.

Stopped by this shop for a quote and I am so glad I had Jim work on my bike! I have a vintage bike which he cleaned up real well. Service was quick, honest, and affordable. Will definitely go back when I need a tune up.

Where else will they put the bike up on a rack and go over it with you.  You leave knowing what needs done and about how much.  And the next day the bikes were ready and have never looked better. It doesn't get any better than this. I know it sounds repetative but this is the way it should be done.
