Story

In 2017 the Arts Guild of Sonoma celebrates its 40th anniversary and solidifies its status as one of the oldest, continuously operating artists’ cooperatives in the state of California. The Arts Guild of Sonoma was founded to exhibit and advance the creative efforts of local and Bay Area artists and to promote in its members the highest standards of artistic expression and professionalism. Over the past years, the Guild has supported local and regional artists and arts education. In furtherance of its goals, the Guild sponsors and participates in a wide range of community outreach programs to encourage art appreciation and inspire direct participation in the arts.

The following are some of our ongoing and special project community outreach programs:

Sonoma Valley High School Scholarship program
Sonoma Valley High School student exhibit "Small but Grand Works"
Guest exhibit for invited non-member artists
Topics in Art lecture and movie series
Artist Mentor and SVHS student artist program
Art classes and workshops held at ARTescape
