Went to Asaro's to celebrate my father's birthday and the service was absolutely terrible. It took over 20 mins to get drinks! The night we were in there was busy and the server was very nice but was definitely stretched to the max. The manager did come by to see how things were going and before we could answer went on a tangent about how short staffed they were. She even went as far as to tell us (some very personal) reasons why the employees didn't show up. As a customer, and former waitress I can understand the frustration she was feeling however it is not appropriate to tell your customers about your employees private lives! She should have stepped in to help the staff that was there rather than bash those that were not. In all the food was good but we were at the restaurant for nearly two hours and only ordered two entrees! I'm not sure we will return anytime soon.

As customary, a group of us go to Asaro's in Nokomis on Wednesdays for lunch, then go trap shooting at Knight's Trail. Had lunch there this past Wednesday, my total bill was $11.18, I wrote in a tip of $2.82 making the total $14.00. Made the mistake of writing in $24.00 as the total. I noticed the error the next day and called the restaurant. The manager was very pleasant, found my tab, saw the tip of $2.82 and the total I wrote in of $24.00. She said that unfortunately the waitress reads the total and that is the amount she puts in at the end. So the waitress put in $24.00 and took the extra $10.00. Management did offer to ask for the $10.00 back from the waitress, they also offered me a $10.00 credit, meaning I would have to go back with my credit card. I declined, saying my mistake, the waitress saw the tip, she saw the total and took the extra $10.00. Nice moves on management's part to make amends, bad move on the waitress's part. My advice is to be careful with your tab and watch your waitress. Oh, I will not return to Asaro's any time soon with my Wednesday group. Won't hurt Asaro's much, there's usually 6 -8 of us, not a big deal.

Lovely place for go and have pizza and salad. Prices are good and waitress was kind. She was slow with checking in on us for refills and asking if we were ok. Had to ask for the check twice.

My recent visit to Asaro's was quite pleasent. The food was delicious and fresh, and the atmosphere was upscale and welcoming. My sister and I got 4 slices of pizza and a Caesar salad for around $20. Their lunch menu is filling and affordable. My only complaint is that our server was not very attentive. Really the only thing keeping it from 5 stars.

Food was good but not sure if should complain about service or pricing. Went during lunch about 1:30 had two glasses of house cab when I got the bill I was charged $8 for each glass asked waitress when happy hour was she said 11 -7 I said ok why was I charged $8 a glass for house wine she said I needed to ask for happy hour drinks as she gave me a "different pour" came back with new check showing $5 a glass still some of the most expensive house wine I have ever had. Something is not right here!!!!
