The couple who has been running this place for the last 19 years are great! I'm doing a bike tour so I was looking for tent only camping. They have a biker (cyclist) rate which is always nice. They also keep a log book of all the tourists who come through and offered to help us get a hot meal from town if we wanted it. I love when places are so considerate to cyclist. The beach and dock area was really nice for a post ride swim too.

Perfect camping destination! I laughed out loud when I read the last review. It certainly isn't a JW Marriot but that isn't what you want when you stay at the lake is it? The water smell is the smell you get from well water and the rates are VERY competitive for such a great spot on a great lake next to the state trail. If your looking for fancy this might not fulfill your needs but if your looking for a Great Lake destination this place is it!

Clean but out of date and poorly maintained. Visited here in 5/16. Yes, the room and exterior were clean and the owners friendly but the place is in serious need of remodeling. Essentials were sadly lacking, like a comfy mattress (only a double) and hot water--my wife and I ran out of it--OMG--for real! In addition the air conditioner wreaked of smoke and rattled, making sleeping more difficult. The tap water was also very nasty--tasting. The floor tiles had seen their day and a few were broken and missing. Lastly, the shower made such a loud whistling racket, it was hard on the ears and I preferred the cold without noise over the hot with it!!! At a cost of $91 (with tax) you can tell they have no competitors!
