Visited the gardens for their annual Garden of lights event around Christmas, and it didn't disappoint! The place is transformed into a wonderland of holiday lights and it's a spectacular sight to see. They have (adult) beverages and snacks for sale and you're able to wander throughout the area taking in all the wonderful sites they have setup. Highlights include the Winter Lady by the water, the musical orbs in front of the tropical building and the hanging lights in the canopy area. It's a can't miss spot especially during the holidays!

I'm actually a bit surprised I haven't written a review for this place yet since it's one of my favorite spots in the city. I am relatively new to the city and this was one of the first places I went to when I moved here. I was so impressed by it that I went ahead and got a membership -- one of the best purchases I've made in a while. I've used it countless times over the last several months. If you're looking for a peaceful getaway from a bustling city, I highly recommend that you check out the botanical gardens. I also recommend that you pay a visit to the Aquatic Plant Pond area so that you can get - in my opinion - one of the best view's of the city. There's many things to check out at the gardens that words and pictures can't do justice though, so I'll go ahead and stop this reviews so that you can get out and check out the gardens for yourself.

This amazing place is right in the heart of midtown yet the gardens are so tranquil and lush you would never believe it. The property is absolutely breathtaking regardless of what the season is. My personal favorites are Scarecrows in the Garden and Lights in the Garden. The former is in October and there are over 125 hand crafted, all unique scarecrows scattered throughout the garden. In December and early January, the Atlanta Botanical Garden is magically transformed into one of the most beautiful places you can imagine. I believe it takes over a month to put up all of the lights! Not to be missed!

It was a new experienced for me. A must see for everyone, even the locals! I love the singing orbs and the garden inside the house, you get to see some frogs! The edible garden was a treat. I love gardening so it was amazing to see what was grown here. Parking is terrible so try to go early, took me about 30 min to park and get through the gates. Also, a great place for photos 📸

We will be back in after holidays, but this review is strictly for holiday lights. We really loved it. It is my spouse and a 10 year old. We got there right at open and had no wait for parking or entry. We went to the poinsettia tree all the way to the left first and by the time we exited that, the sun had set and we enjoyed seeing everything on our walk around. As we finished about 720pm (so 2 hours for us, as we have never been and we sat in the string of lights on the bridge and watched them all) there were quite a few cars in line and lots more people. So go here at open and get dinner after. So the premium ticket upgrade I would only do for one of us next time. It is 10 extra dollars for hologram glasses that make all the individual light bulbs look like fireflies and a drink. Kids hot cocoa was like 3 dollars and my husband doesn't drink alcohol and his apple cider was like 3 as well. The glasses we wore just a few minutes to look at certain lights. I got an adult hot cocoa which are 10 and I didn't get any but wine was 8. So if we got one premium upgrade and shared glasses and paid for no alcoholic beverages it would be cheaper. Anyhow, the best part by far was the walkway/bridge area where the string of lights in the trees are timed to music. There are several songs and worth slowing or stopping and watching and listening to them. There is a bench halfway through and past that some square single seats in another area, but it's not so long that standing for most healthy adults and children should be able.
