Augsburg Park Montessori School is a small community that sees children as capable and competent.  Sinead artfully observes children and comes alongside them to encourage their interests and provide a space where they can learn through them.  After moving from a traditional preschool, we have seen our son become more relaxed (less stressed), empathetic and helpful, and more curious and open to trying new things.  Not to mention all of the academic learning that he has seemingly "picked up" along the way through the purposeful games and activities tailored to his level!  From the wall of windows that lets sunlight stream in, to the mugs that are available to children to drink from, from the fuzzy bunny to the organized and appealing Montessori materials, from the coat tags with each child's picture and name to the raised beds for gardening outside, Augsburg Park Montessori School is a welcoming community where children are well supported as they grow socially, emotionally, and academically.

Augsburg Park Montessori has been a blessing to our family. Since garden mornings the summer before he started preschool there, my son has felt at home and has grown so much. We are frequently amazed by things he knows and can do because of the work he has done under Sinèad's guidance. Thankfully, he has two more years to grow there, since he will take Kindergarten at APMS! We can't wait until our youngest can join his brother there.

Our daughter has spent two wonderful years at Augsburg Park. I can't say enough about the impact Sinead and her team have made. Her confidence, pride in her work and awareness of herself and the larger world has grown immensely. I would recommend it for anyone looking for an open, rigorous and warm community for their child.

Look no further...you have found the Montessori School for your child!!! 
I cannot say enough about this amazing school!!!!  It was SUCH a blessing to our children that we "found" APMS in 2010!  Our daughter spent her preschool and kindergarten years in the rooms of APMS.  Then, our older son joined in 2013 for preschool and will "graduate" as a kindergartner this year.  
Each of our kiddos were welcomed with warm, nurturing, open arms day in and day out, despite their VERY different personalities and strong skills.  They each have FLOURISHED!!!!!  We cannot wait for our youngest to join the "family" in 2016...although he already feels like it :)

Our children thrive in this preschool.  Children are given the opportunity to learn at their own pace, explore their interests, while being guided by the welcoming and supportive staff through all educational areas.  Sinead does a fantastic job of communicating to parents their child's progress, as well as any school events or neighborhood activities. Our children learn in leaps and bounds at APMS and they always look forward to going to school!
