This place was horrible. I was treated awfully by staff and Social Workers. I have type 1 bipolar and the staff didn't know what to do with me. They gave me the wrong meds twice, I got food poisoning, and the overall experience was god awful. Not to mention, I was sedated for doing NOTHING.

I am a College of Marin Nursing student and my review is going to be reviewing this facility based upon my clinical experience. That being said I had a wonderful learning experience at Aurora Hospital. The staff were all very professional and open to students and helping us learn. I do not have another Psychiatric hospital to compare this facility to but I can say it was a positive experience.

I actually enjoyed my experience here. Don't get me wrong, I didn't WANT to be here, but my stay wasn't as bad as a lot of the other comments would suggest. I made friends here, the staff were attentive, friendly, and fun to be around. The activities they offer were not only entertaining, but they also taught us valuable coping mechanisms and teamwork. In a way, we all made eachother better at Aurora. I enjoyed my stay and I am satisfied with my care. Big thanks to all the staff.

I really like this Hospital. I recently had the pleasure of working as a nursing student with some good nurses at Aurora. They were very responsive and kind.  Everyone was professional and respectful, I really appreciate everything.

My daughter was there for 3 days several years ago, and it was overall a very positive experience for her, and it was influential in helping her to turn her life around.
